Yes, I got so cold last night my fingers hurt. And my jaw. UGH.
I got through Chapter 17 for the changes. I am going to pull up all the sites, then get to work again. I want this done before I am out of it. Especially since I will be lucky to get my laptop, much less this computer.
Also, food for thought (since I am hearing a whole bunch of lyrics lately to songs I have listened to since I was a wee one) The Immigrant Song by Led Zepplin makes me think of Eric:
Ah, ah,
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow.
The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!
On we sweep with threshing oar, Our only goal will be the western shore.
Ah, ah,
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
How soft your fields so green, can whisper tales of gore,
Of how we calmed the tides of war. We are your overlords.
On we sweep with threshing oar, Our only goal will be the western shore.
So now you’d better stop and rebuild all your ruins,
For peace and trust can win the day despite of all your losing.
Yeah. I was laughing last night to You Can’t Always Get What You Want by Rolling Stones. This lyric just cracked me up:
And I went down to the demonstration
To get my fair share of abuse
What can I say? My iTunes is on shuffle and it decided that I wanted Classic Rock along with everything else. And to think I was making banners and so on while it was playing made it more funny to all of a sudden to pay attention to the lyrics I have been singing the entire time.
Of course, that lead to my mom finding out I thought Bad Moon Rising was actually Bathroom on the Right. When you never hear the name of the song, it is amazing what you hear instead….
Anywho. Back to work for me. And if you don’t know these songs… What the heck? You need some lessons in classic rock. They shaped my early and teen years. Especially the teen years, since I was woken up by Time (by Pink Floyd think Dark Side of the Moon. Listen to the beginning, and you can see how I would sit straight up from a deep sleep when my dad played that on Saturday mornings!)
And Missy Stormy is trying to hide, behind my sheer curtains. Cats aren’t always smart. She thinks she is hidden, but not quite. oops. I said her name now she is wanting cuddles before she lies on her bed while I am working with Photoshop. LMAO now she is sitting there, staring at the screen I work Photoshop on and meowing at me, like, “Mom, get to work!! I want to watch the stuff move around!”
Off to work as the kitten demands.

I grew up listening to (what is now) classic rock also. Love it! That song reminds me of Eric too! 🙂 If you like heavy metal, Tungur Knivur by Jorn Lande is another that reminds me of him. The sound effects of that song put the listener right on a Viking ship and could possibly start more plot bunnies lol 🙂
I can remember ever one of these songs. Now I will be thinking of them til I go to bed. Can’t wait for the stories you will write about them songs should be interesting.
