I expected to be done and I am only 2 stories in. Part of that is my fault. I had a miscommunication with a beta, and it means I will be working on Tea Shoppe to update to the present tense. (winces) Oops…
And the other one, well we will say I was in the wrong story.
Then came the great outside attack on what others call the Devil Bush. It’s a Bougainvillea I brought with me from AZ. It has nice flowers and according to my hubby, M, It will never die. But he was tearing away the dead branches from the freeze, so we can allow it to grow and there won’t be dead growth in it. (It happened once before. We learned our lesson then that it being dead and doing it now is much easy than with the live branches being involved with the dead ones.) The saw gave out about half way through and we will work on it tomorrow. Or Saturday, I am not sure on that one…
We had to attack the burned pot that my father had done bad enough that it was a half inch thick of solid burnt bottom. M literally chipped it out to save the pot. Don’t fall asleep making chili.
After that and how we ran out of soap, dishwasher soap and paper towels (and yes in that order) we went to Sam’s.
We won’t be running out anytime soon.
So I am back, finished the second story, letting you know this was the first and going back to work on finding the rest. But on the other hand, if I don’t finish, I don’t have to clean the house tomorrow, so I can work on this some more.
Think of it this way, it is showing me what to work on. For Editing. I have tons to edit , like Sacred and Tired Wings… You guys like those right?
I will warn you, I cried writing it. And for those that don’t know, here is the story banner with a link to the main page:
I have spent the previous and this night researching. I know I seemed to have built in a blind spot in my story, but I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
Of course, my computer was still being a pain in the but. I ended up tearing it apart and working on it. Then today still having issues, M and I moved the tower up out of the area it was in, and now have a fan that is now dedicated in blowing in the area that has the Graphic’s card. I think it was overheating since it was below the graphics card.
One of the most frustrating things is that when I like to relax, I like to play Civilizations V. I am not a war monger, (M is) but I like building up my cities and so on. Unfortunately, the computer kept shutting it down, now I got to play beyond the 160AD. So I am happy. Tired. But happy.
But I also posted in the Kittyinaz’s Facebook Group the new players entering the Pack in Aos Si. So there is a hint on what is coming.
I am sleepy and shaking so I need to head to bed.
Enjoy the new Aos Si Chapter if you have access, and don’t forget to tell me what you are thinking so that I can take it in account.
Also, I moved Crossing the Fine Line to Inkitt, to see what it is like. I am thinking of adding Our Road is Long and a few others, but I want to see how they are on the approval process. If you are over there, I am under my real name. I will provide a link next time.
So last night a scene came to me from Aos Si. It involved Peter talking to Jason about his idea for air support.
Needless to say, that inspired me to write, but I couldn’t get to it until a couple of hours ago. I wrote it, and I am off to write more on the next one. Don’t be surprised to have a couple more. Hopefully. I want to finish this story up so I can work on others. And to get to editing this, and seeing what others have to say, if I should expand more on certain sections or leave it.
If you are a beta reader for the original stories, there is a group set up there for you to know what the passwords are. You can contact me on Facebook, and I will look to see if you are on the list to be admitted there.
Also, I am awaiting one last person to contact me for what Penname to put on their banner. Once I get that, I can release the placings.
And don’t forget the Christmas Contest!!!
Most of you are aware that every year, I put the ladies and the site on holiday. What this means is that I will still try to get ahead, write and so on, when I get the time. I bake, cook and end up wrapping presents for everyone it seems. Yes, I have even wrapped my own, until lately that I demand that they wrap my gifts. ::grumbles::
Due to the demands on my time, as well as everyone’s during the holiday season, there is no expectation of anything to get done. If they want to work on stories, they can. If they don’t they don’t have to, and on top of that, there are no expectations of anything being done until January. I also spend the first of the year getting the site updated on year things, as well as making sure none of my betas have decided not to be able to spend time on my stories.
It happens. I fully understand!
And I have spent a long time today fighting with my computer. I think I need to talk to hubbies about moving the desktop to another spot so it can keep cool. I noticed my graphics card getting really hot, so that might be a problem there. I have also spent a long time fighting with the internet, and I may have solved that issue. We will find out later.
So, please enjoy the chapter for those that can read it (the banner links you there). I promised someone a chapter of Dying and I will get it out. I just want to get the story out of my head while the muse is participating. I might actually be able to finish it.
Yep, I am finally motivated to get my ass into gear and get things done. For those that don’t know there is a group on Facebook that has the passwords for the Brotherhood series. Click on the link to be taken there, and be patient. I will have to vette you guys against the list of pre-readers we have to allow you on the Group.
For one thing, I have been changing my sleeping pattern into a more normal one. No idea how this will last, but this last week, I needed to be awake at so-called normal times. Today was the first day I could sleep in, and I ended up still waking up at 8:30. I am not looking a gift horse in the mouth, especially since this is now the best time to work, since the house is nice and cool, along with everyone gone. I can spend time with family (Connor enforced!) and still get things done.
I am also moving into a more complicated part of the story. I am bringing in parts of Our Road is Long into the story. I realized while I was writing, that there is no way that Lady would ignore what was going on in their own backyard. So we will see more of those two stories starting to blend. Our Road is going to take longer to catch up, but it will all end up working in the long run.
I also was having issues with headaches. No idea what was causing them, but they were getting bad. But I got my hair done yesterday and the lightness is enough to have me breathing sighs of relief. I may have baby fine hair, but I have tons of it. I was also always pulling it back to have it out of my face. Now it is nice and fixed, it is out of my way and I feel so much better.
I plan to do the banners this weekend while completing some other errands. Robin, who truly is an amazing woman, is working on Character pages. She worked on the original Tea Shoppe cast and has them completed. I love her idea, so I am working on some more for her to load up. I don’t think we will touch the Marvel ones except for making one for Bella.
That is what is going on with my life. I hope yours is going great!!
Just a reminder, the Christmas contest is now live. The contest for October (which has some seriously great stories!) will be live after this weekend for your voting.
Also, the holiday season is coming up, and I wanted to remind you guys of the Amazon Link. While your donations help Robin with the costs of the site (and me!!!) The Amazon link pays for the Domain name, photoshop, storage for the pictures and stories on a server that I don’t have to worry about mine crashing. It also pays for Grammarly and other things that allow me to work. (like a new mouse when mine crapped out on me.) I don’t work, instead, I do this, so your help is greatly appreciated. In a time that my hubby is cutting the cost so that we can buy our first house, it is awesome to tell him that my readers support us where I can keep my tools I use for the site. It costs nothing to you, just use the link to connect to Amazon, and I get credit for what you buy. I also get credit if you click on something, even if you don’t buy it. But the amount of clicks can up the percentage I get. It never gets about 10%, unless they are doing specials. I am adding ads later for those specials for November.
As long as the Kittyinaz-20 is in the address when you click on Amazon, you will be giving me credit. I thank you guys for all you do for the site. Our Thank you page for the donations got messed up and none of the user names came through. I don’t feel easy to list all the people who donated without their screen names. So I am gathering thank you cards and will be sending them out to the ones who donated. I first have to buy stamps. oops.
I do know we are still short of the amount needed to pay the monthly dues for the security, and I will try to give you guys the amount we are missing. Now I have an hour to write, and I am going to see if I can get more out on Aos Si…
In this is the first hints of the other stories. I introduced these two characters. If you read Our Road is Long or Every Dark Night you may find these faces familiar:
Funny enough, they are both stars of their own books. Nash is actually who I started writing, before I realized that it was jumping into the universe both feet forward, and lost to my readers. So I made Aos Si to be first. And Armando played a part in ED as well as stars in the story Our Road is Long….
And I will tell those that know the password, look for the owl. It is the portal to the stories. Not that will help anyone else, since they are all password protected. But you can click on the banner for Aos Si to be taken to the chapter.
It truly is amazing the stuff you can find on the internet. I searched Alexander Skarsgard leprechaun and the picture above is what popped up. I think it is fitting for today. Sorry I missed posting last week, but Daylight Savings in the USA screwed me up. Losing one hour completely wrecked my week. I…
Can someone please explain to me why I am seeing more snow in March than I did in the entire months of December and January???? I should be getting ready for spring, not worrying about shoveling 8 inches of snow. The only way snow in March is acceptable is if it this is part of…
Hello lovelies. I cannot guarantee I will be back to publishing weekly, but I will try. My dear beta, kleannhouse, is in high demand trying to juggle the stories of three writers. She is amazing and she makes me laugh with all of her comments on my stories. This one especially. I started this story…
