I expected to be done and I am only 2 stories in. Part of that is my fault. I had a miscommunication with a beta, and it means I will be working on Tea Shoppe to update to the present tense. (winces) Oops…
And the other one, well we will say I was in the wrong story.
Then came the great outside attack on what others call the Devil Bush. It’s a Bougainvillea I brought with me from AZ. It has nice flowers and according to my hubby, M, It will never die. But he was tearing away the dead branches from the freeze, so we can allow it to grow and there won’t be dead growth in it. (It happened once before. We learned our lesson then that it being dead and doing it now is much easy than with the live branches being involved with the dead ones.) The saw gave out about half way through and we will work on it tomorrow. Or Saturday, I am not sure on that one…
We had to attack the burned pot that my father had done bad enough that it was a half inch thick of solid burnt bottom. M literally chipped it out to save the pot. Don’t fall asleep making chili.
After that and how we ran out of soap, dishwasher soap and paper towels (and yes in that order) we went to Sam’s.
We won’t be running out anytime soon.
So I am back, finished the second story, letting you know this was the first and going back to work on finding the rest. But on the other hand, if I don’t finish, I don’t have to clean the house tomorrow, so I can work on this some more.
Think of it this way, it is showing me what to work on. For Editing. I have tons to edit , like Sacred and Tired Wings… You guys like those right?

Though, I have to warn you, this chapter starts a sad cycle, but necessary to the story. No wish is ever granted like this one had, without pain involved. If you mess with timelines, there are going to be consequences.
And this chapter is beginning those consequences.
However, this is me. I can’t go too long being sad. I have a plan, and for why this had to happen the way it did.
I give huge prompts to my beta for this. She worked on it, and I gave her a heads up that I will be forwarding a new chapter of Edge towards her probably tomorrow.
Yes, Tomorrow is the start of the Fanfiction weekend. Before that happens, I am finishing up a chapter of Aos Si. It’s an actiony scene and major. It starts them off towards the story and bringing in the universe they are involved in now in more detail.
Which I will say, I am thrilled to be getting to the meat of this. I may go back and write more on their last school year, but it is not that important to the story. I hit on the high spots, and now we are getting ready for the battle coming.
So enjoy this chapter of Our Road is Long, while I write my little heart away and then write you another post for today on that chapter update.

Also, I want to make this as close to doing real publishing, so from here on out, the only pictures you will be getting will be the chapter banners. And those are only for the reason that they will stand out on the side posts so I can see how they are performing. Yes, I do look at those and see what is currently holding your interest. Those and reviews tell me the most. Well the likes do it as well, so if you don’t want to leave a review (but they really do feed the muse!) Hit the like button.
It lets me know you liked it, even if you don’t have the time to review or are too shy to. I wish that Fanfiction had those, I think a lot of people would leave the likes behind.
As for the other story, I spent yesterday going through and doing the physical stats of the main characters. This story has what I call the Pack in it. All in all, the pack has about 24-25 characters in it. Yes, it is huge, but there is a reason, this is the introduction to my world, and the Pack will have some characters featured in the future stories. Plus I have 6 characters who are major in my universe that I needed to get their stats done. Now I am going through to add in the little details.
You know, what are they good at, what their job is going to be in the Pack, little details that can come interesting later down the road. Basically a reference card, but allowing us all to remember details easily. 4Padfoot is trying to figure out a way to do Character Pages that allow you to put your mouse over them to get the details. Since the theme we use is made to be used with tablets, whatever we pick will work with that as well.

I talked with the ladies in my group, have talked this over in the past with close friends. Then I talked with M, the hubby.
See, I have insecurities. A lot of them. And I just can’t see why anyone would want to read original fiction by me. I hear so much about how I manage to find possibilities in Fanfic to write on, but not a lot is said otherwise. So, after talking to all the aforementioned people, reading the copyright laws, (which thank God I can read that stuff but my back and neck has been hurting from it!!) I am taking this chance.

I will say this fic has been played around with by me for over five years, as well as dreamed, thought about and so on longer than that. I first was going to do Alice and Hatter from Syfy Alice (2010). That one was really involved and thought completely out. A rough draft of an outline formed from it. But then the ladies I discussed it with and I no longer were working together. We all went our own ways, due to RL.
Then I thought, hey, it would be a great idea for a Damon and Bella fic!!! I went so far as to type out chapters, crying, since it really is a sad beginning (but it is awesome later on!!!!). I had at that time started to tie together some of my fics into a universe.
But then, Charlaine Harris wrote the last book of the SVM series. I never read it, but I was in love with the characters. I had planned to read the series when she was finished, but with the ending being what it was, I refused.
I was talking with my team of betas at the time, Meridian, Bertie Bott, Mommy4Thomas, MissRissa81, MissRon80 and 4Padfoot. (I know I am missing some, and I am sorry for not remembering who was all on that night!) and I was telling them about this idea. They asked why don’t I try writing an Original Fiction series for it?
That started my mind going. I have chapters done and plan on returning to it more. But I planned out how it will work. Some of those plans had already spilled into fics. There are two individuals that have in fact appeared in my fics, and both happen to be in the Set You Free series, as well as a mention of another group in the Free Will is Everything trilogy. But that was before my ladies really talked to me and convinced me I could rewrite everything.
This was pulled before it ever got published and has sat in my files since then. But I was rereading it the other day, and while it is connected to the Brotherhood of Demons Universe, it really is separate. Armando Ignacio d’Napoli had to be different from everyone even in my universe. But I had plans for him.
So you guys get the chance to read an original fiction by me. I am sitting here nervous as hell, and debating with myself even as I wrote this. But all in all, I need to do something. This is easier to do than later when I send the manuscripts out for the first time. Obviously, it will NOT be published on Fanfiction.net. But I plan to publish on other sites I am a member of that supports Original Fiction.
