We had a slight mishap in the chapter for this week. I will say this much, it is for Tired Wings.

Yep! It is one of the stories I have been hoping to get done. I am going line by line trying to save my beta some work since we found out the same error in chapter 9. It is an editing issue and will make no change to the story itself, but we are working on fixing it cause it will bug me otherwise.

I also have some RL issues going on at the same time, with Monday tiring me out. It might happen (I’m hoping so!) again tomorrow or later this week. If so, things will be a little delayed. Sorry, but it can’t be helped. But it is good things for the house so…

But I wanted to let you guys know we are working on stuff. It isn’t as fun as editing (which is not as fun as you might think) and I am needing to go line by line for 9 pages of edits to make sure everything is done. Hopefully, I am able to get one chapter at least sent to the betas, as I work on writing some more on Revelations to get that one done. I am almost done with that book, and the final story of that trilogy is already planned in my head. I wanted to get it on paper this week as well. We will see.

I am also rereading the In Death books by J.D. Robb aka Nora Roberts. I have found later that Hatter/Peter in Tea Shoppe was partly influenced by Roarke in the In Death books. Not that I knew it until later when I was describing him to someone and it flashed across my head the similarities. At least at the beginning.

So, I am working on returning to writing, as I mentioned before. And I wanted to let you know that there is a slight problem we are working through to get the chapter to you this week and that it is on a story that most of you have been waiting on. Be patient!! NO story is going to be unfinished. As evidenced by the fact I am going back to the beginning to finish those stories.

A Chapter?!?!?!?

Yes, you read that right. I actually have a chapter for you to read!!!

It’s me finishing up the Twilight/Marvel that I have had written all this time. I am needing to get to work on finishing the rest of the chapters and sending them out, but this is a way for me to get back to writing. I edit past chapters and slowly it eases me back to my style of writing. I will finish up this one and then work on Sacred and the rest of the load.

However, you will find me tapering off from editing and getting back into writing soon enough. So until I get enough banked chapters, I will be posting once a week. When during that week? No idea. But I will aim for a week at a time, once I get banked chapters. Banked chapters mean they are back from betas and I have done my part as well. Right now, there are not many. And they are for stories that are for my first fans.

Just a reminder, the writing contest is up and waiting for your reading pleasure. (Click the little banner above to go there if you haven’t had a chance yet!) The other fandom featured for those that are not in the know is Moonlight. Please still give them a read, others have and find the stories very enjoyable. Sorry I Am Running Late!

But I do have a chapter for you!!!

But first, the boring stuff.

Writing Contest is due on Thursday. If you need an extension email us and we will grant one. I will probably be busy all weekend, so it’s safe to say I won’t get to the banners until next week at the earliest.

Also, for those that have not done so, the voting is still open. You can choose more than 1 choice. For those who are on their mobile devices, it is the pinned post on the top of the group. And the results are still changing. I am paying attention, and that is why you are getting this chapter in particular. It was voted 3rd for being wanted. Also, there is another poll open for an opinion of you guys. I want to know what you think on something.

I spent most of the time between the last post and this one making my first ok Manip. But I needed it since I couldn’t find any other pics to work for me…

However, the bad news is that I am done with updates. So you will be getting two of them at once this time.

And that will do it. I found some stuff to work on, as well as I am trying to finish Tired Wings up so that I am ready for the next Marvel story that I have written to the edited. Lots for me to work on, as well as I need to start editing my original story that I am trying to write for publishing.

But hopefully you guys can motivate me along!!!! And for anyone who has left a comment, I haven’t had a chance to read any of them since I have been working on getting these out. But any and all are appreciated!! They do help me feel like writing and working on this stuff. I just need to balance writing with RL. At least I will get more sun mowing the grass…

Veteran’s Day

First I want to say a very heartfelt thank you to our armed forces and veterans. Thank you for making sure I have the freedom to write what I want, to follow my passion.

Second, I know I am late, but Happy Birthday to the Marines.

Third, I thought this was a perfect day for another chapter of Tired Wings are Falling. I mean we have two WWII soldiers in the story. It fits?

Fourth, I am hoping this will be something enjoyable to do after the week we Americans have had. So many people are freaking out, but I wish to inform those that don’t know…

The President of the United States of America is not the end all of our Government. May I remind you:

Our federal government has three parts. They are the Executive, (President and about 5,000,000 workers) Legislative (Senate and House of Representatives) and Judicial (Supreme Court and lower Courts).

The President of the United States administers the Executive Branch of our government. He enforces the laws that the Legislative Branch (Congress) makes. The President is elected by United States citizens, 18 years of age and older, who vote in the presidential elections in their states. These votes are tallied by states and form the Electoral College system. States have the number of electoral votes which equal the number of senators and representatives they have. It is possible to have the most popular votes throughout the nation and NOT win the electoral vote of the Electoral College.

The Legislative part of our government is called Congress. Congress makes our laws. Congress is divided into 2 parts. One part is called the Senate. There are 100 Senators–2 from each of our states. Another part is called the House of Representatives. Representatives meet together to discuss ideas and decide if these ideas (bills) should become laws. There are 435 Representatives. The number of representatives each state gets is determined by its population. Some states have just 2 representatives. Others have as many as 40. Both senators and representatives are elected by the eligible voters in their states.

The Judicial part of our federal government includes the Supreme Court and 9 Justices. They are special judges who interpret laws according to the Constitution. These justices only hear cases that pertain to issues related to the Constitution. They are the highest court in our country. The federal judicial system also has lower courts located in each state to hear cases involving federal issues.

All three parts of our federal government have their main headquarters in the city of Washington D.C.

I hope this waylays some fears I am seeing and hearing from others. For Americans, we are taught this in our Government classes, and for those that are young enough, we had Schoolhouse Rock:

It is for a kid, but still, it works. (The Bill one was the one that stuck in my mind the most, but the fact that I remembered they had one for this from over 30 years ago is kinda amazing to me!)

So calm down. Stop attacking people on social media and in person. There are checks and balances to our system, and they do work. Mostly.

I don’t want a debate, I won’t answer anyone who starts an argument over this. I am just sending this out there to reassure people, that our President is NOT our King or any ruler like one. He is one man versus the other 2 branches. He can veto, but even the Supreme Court can overrule him.

Now I hope I calmed someone down, and if not, go read this chapter. I am trying to get where I can write again, its been kinda hard with my wifi adapter going out on my constantly, as well as my computer sometimes thinking I have 2 harddrives.

The search engine works awesomely, and I have used it a few times to get recipes that I have added. I am also be getting some more family recipes soon from my family, my grandmother would like them to be added so that anyone can come in and use them.

Hello… this thing working?

So I have a present for you guys. Technology removed another present, but the super beta known otherwise as tj6james6 is working to redo all the corrections and notes that she had already done for a chapter. Stupid Technology. First, it made me lose days in redoing all my settings and drivers with the new update, then I have lost Outlook 2016 connecting at all to my email. Now a chapter has somehow lost all of it’s comments, fixes and so on. And that had been after a huge snafu with Drive deciding not to sync with anyone.

Now it is telling me I need room on my computer. Wonder why? (iTunes!!!! I’m telling you I load so much music it ain’t funny! This will be the second time I filled a computer with music…)

With all the hiccups we have been having (and I am still blaming Windows for 99.99999% of it since all the issues have arrived after the update!) I am happy to present the next chapter of Tired Wings.

Now this story is completely written, and I even know what I want to do for the couples in the new ones, but I am thinking I need to wait at least for Ragnorak. Just to tell you what is going on. There is no cliff-hanger in this one, it ends decisively. I just know my couples and I wanna write them!!!!

I even wrote a chapter last night to Sacred. I have been stuck moving on Part II with it, but Heathens by twenty one pilots was stuck in my head all day, and I found it perfect for the catch-up chapter.

I have been editing Tired to get it off my plate, up to chapter 7 which I just need to run through again to make sure, since I really didn’t change much in it last night. (I have been averaging doubling the chapters the previous days.) So I want to go over it to see if it really is ready to send to the beta.

While you are here, why don’t you stop by the Writing Challenge? It will be ending in less than 25 hours, my time. That is ALSO the ending for submissions for the October Challenge also. If you need an extension, let us know.

And… When it is over… I will be announcing the start of the Christmas Challenge. I do this each year, and figure if something ever happens, that I will hold this one every year from now on. I will be bringing back the Fairy Tales contest as well next year, since alot of people enjoyed it.
