Yeah, sorry this is late. I had an interesting week.
I upgraded to Windows 10. I have multiple screens, and I had issues with it, and felt very stupid when all it needed was another restart. So my mom, who had set me up to be the guinea pig, decided to upgrade her Windows 7 to 10. (I had 8.1). Yeah, while I spent an hour and a half waiting for the upgrade to load, then spent an hour working through the options (which I fell in love with Cortana) my mom had so many more issues. We were up to 12:30 getting her to work. Let me tell you, restart, restart, restart!!!!
No nightmares on anyone else, everything works sooo much better, but the issues we had were because of the multiple screens. Nothing to help it, just do as I say and restart until the other screen pops up right. Then restart one more time if you use Google. (after you set google to be your browser.) Edge is not so bad, but it uses Bing, and I am not a Bing fan. But for everything else? OMG. It recognizes the Bose speakers finally and the sound is phenomenal! I don’t have Photoshop crashing when I try to resize stuff and other issues.
Then came Friday. I spent the entire day with Grandma, walking everywhere, as we shopped. Normally not a big deal for me, but I think it was a combination of heat (it was 102 once per my Traverse!) which means the Heat index was high. I spent the whole day chugging drinks like you wouldn’t believe, and still got a heat headache. I hate humidity. By the end of the day, we were taken to Dinner, and then I went home and took Aleve, as well as gulping more liquids.
Saturday was a pool party at my aunts house, and M saw me limping badly when I woke up and told me to chill out. I am not kidding you, no matter how I stretched it out, I had what felt like a live wire going from the top of my right leg all the way down. And no way to freaking relax it!! I even went with my mom, after making Angel Lush for the pool party, to Apple to exchange her iPad for a bigger memory one. (Yeah, I am like that. But I couldn’t sit very long without it hurting more.) By the time that was all done, it was late and everyone in my family called off going. M was going bowling, Dad was so tired from working OT in the heat and MamaKitty was tired, headache from the heat as well needing to start her upload of her new iPad.
I didn’t get any sleep until like 8 am the following morning. Needless to say, I spent alot of yesterday resting. And today only had a headache. That I can feel. (I have a high pain tolerance, if I fall asleep, whatever bothered me is often not felt by me the following day. not all the time, but enough that it is a relief!) Unfortunately, this has a bad side effect. See, I get sick if I am stressed. Not stressed mentally (though that can count towards it). If my body is hurting, it causes stress and I get sick. Wonderful aint it? Not really. It doesn’t help with that pain tolerance since often I know i am in pain by getting sick though I don’t feel it.
Why am I telling you all this? Cause I feel guilty.
I have been slacking on working this past week (to me) though I finished a chapter a night for a not-able-to-tell-you reason, and worked on a chapter of Clocks, as well as dealing with all the computer issues and so on. This is slacking to me. I haven’t been online to talk to the group as much nor have I been able to do much in fact. Have I ever mentioned I hate summer also?!?!!?
As I mentioned on a post in Facebook, the cold never bothered me anyways fits me. Seriously, I have a ceiling fan, a desktop fan and a fan for the CPU/slash my feet. Yes, the dogs fight for the spot by my feet for the nice cool fan. And often I am still hot. ugh
I am on my last week of taking Grandma to PT, then I will be back to working all week long. And back to the gym I am hoping, since I haven’t been able to go while I did all this. Though I will be gone for the thursdays this week, taking care of my nephews.. Such a hard life. LMAO!!!
This is why I am not worried about my betas, since summer is a very hard time for them to work. They often have children they are taking care of, or other obligations. Vacations and so on. When they can get to stuff, they are all very good about it. And I have been checking in with them.
4Padfoot has come back!! And she has been a powerhouse while she has been back. She fixed my attempt at the Awards page, and told me not bad. If we forgot an award, please let us know. We Have them divided into two categories: Awards by the site(year) and Awards by Story. It is taking advantage of the neat stuff this theme can handle, and uses some graphics and such. Easy all in all, but it was to have me to learn my theme some. By me… lol. It is located on the Other Goodies page under awards. Or you can just click above to be taken to the new page.
She has also listened to you guys, and has made a Site Map for those unable to find features they had in the past. (They are all there!) This can be found up top after the posts. Click on the pic above showing you where it is to be taken to it. This is NOT graphics heavy at all, and is an alternative to tablet users and so on. I will remind you though. There are items that are Password Protected on purpose. Only those that are approved to read those stories will be allowed.

I am completely shocked that All I Want won. You’re came up from behind, it was originally behind Edge. But I see and I will be working on AIW as soon as I get a free moment. Hopefully after the novel since I will be freer after then. Or in Tucson.
Hopefully a freak cold front comes in and I will get REALLY inspired as usual and get cracking. Until then, I will deal with a kitten you can’t give tuna to. Seriously. M gave her whatever was left on his draining thingie from the tuna cans, and she was racing up and down the house, taking the longest routes, running up the couch and back, over the dining room table and.. well you get the idea. She did 2 laps in a minute. And we have a long house. She just woke up, so I am anticipating the jumping and so on. She already has shut the laptop lid from where I am getting ready to do the Windows 10 Upgrade. Hopefully it fixes the issue with it. Besides it being old. Still eligible for Photoshop, but old… (Yes I am hoping for another one… before the trip to Tucson.)
And this has been a weird past week for me. If the above picture doesn’t hint it. There are days I want to take up scorpion petting and some of them happened this week.
I try to work as much as possible, but I do have to take time out for RL, since I am off to take my Grandma to her appointments. Amazing how disruptive it is to take her for an hour to PT, but it really is somehow. I don’t feel like doing anything before hand, and then by the time I come home, the house is getting hot and M is home. So I been feeling like I have been falling behind and I hate it.
I have done more reviews and interviews on the Non-Canon Awards, so I am getting ahead on that, TG! I am cheating, when I read an update, I try to review the story. Notice I say try. There are going to be a couple deterrents on that soon.
See, I do ALOT on my iPad. But a year ago, the screen was broken due to the carelessness of a security guard in our wonderful justice system when I reported for jury duty. M has a friend who is starting with replacing screens as a side job, and has agreed to do mine. Yeah!!! No more broken screen! But the bad side? It will be gone for a couple days. Do you know how many updates and so on I get in a day? Many!!! I also answer people on my time off, even though I am not supposed to, but if an urgent matter comes across the screen, I try to deal with it.
Hello, my name is Kittyinaz, and I am a Workaholic! Always have been, I used to be really bad when I worked in the workplace. No one really knows how many hours I worked on my own time and money. But I feel guilty, that I am doing nothing and am bored when I have such interesting things to do! (and there is your earwig for today)
You know that whole saying, if you love what you do, its not really work? Yeah. I have been lucky n the last decade and a half to have jobs like that. Now I am writing, and I cannot love it more. I just need to get to the money making side soon!
Basically, if you do anything when my iPad is gone, even review, well it is easier to like and answer on that thing than on the on the computer. So it will be a little bit depending on when M takes it in, and when I get it back. I expect to have lots of red notifications when I get it back, and that is going to drive me nuts!!!

I finished another chapter of Clocks, and am working on some character banners to fill in the blanks for you guys. I’m also going to work with 4Padfoot about a new character page to let you guys know what is going on easier. As in who is who and related to whom. Since bloodlines are so important not only in this one but IND, I needed to make sure they are easy to understand. I have a bloodline thingie in my notes, so you guys should have one.. if it is feasible.
OK, time to get to other stuff! See you guys later this week hopefully! Just remember, not only do you guys have RL, so do my betas and I. And RL comes before this stuff. Always.
So, this weekend as a bust for me working and apparently sleeping. But those voices still try to talk… ugh
However, it was mostly for good reasons!!!
First off My dad’s bday was yesterday, but we gave him his present on Friday. See, he has issues with technology. Computers are something that are just not very good for him, since he doesn’t understand them. He just wants to get on them, and have them work. This causes issues since he agrees with anything that pops up to get it off his screen. Yes. He has had so many computers die from viruses that is not even remotely funny. So, when he gave up on the last one, gave it to my mom, he started making noises that he wants a tablet, thinking they would be easier. He sees M and I on ours all the time.
MamaKitty talked with me about it, and I told her to get him a iPad, since he has finally started to understand his iPhone. No need to confuse the man, and since I have had an iPad since they first came out, I can vouch for them. In fact, M has my first iPad, and told me not to get him a new one, he will just take the one I am using now when I get a new one. Awesome man… truly!!!
Friday, Mamakitty was all excited, while I was dead. My insomnia struck and I didn’t get ANY sleep that night. Miserable. Finally, I got some later on, then worked with MamaKitty to get DaddyKitty there. (I know many of you are kinda confused. My bio dad died a couple of years ago. The man I call DaddyKitty raised me, so… you can get the idea.) WE did, and then he turned around and bought my mom her bday present, an iPad.
Now, this is funny, since I have been telling her to buy one all this time. Now she has one, and she aint putting it down. LOL!!!! She has also admitted after using it, it is easier to work with than the Nook and Android Tablets. But they are happy, and I might actually have the new Laptop they have unless M gets me a new one. (my one that I started writing FanFiction on is dying slowly. After 5-6 years, I guess I can let it finally rest…. ::snickering::) This makes working while in Tucson something that IS going to happen. Since I managed to write all of AIW during that time, we can guess that more will be coming out during that time.
I am typing this all up at 1am, (not breaking my Sunday rules ladies!!!) since I cannot sleep. Allergies are bad, and I ended up sleeping most of the day die to them. But, going through my emails finally, I saw that the Friday post for the Non-Canon Awards didn’t go out. Since I didn’t make one for Monday, I figured I would write up one while checking up what happened.

Stormy… went to the vet on Thursday, (And we suspect this may be the reason for the insomnia, she had been cuddly needing to be soothed after they shot her up with 3 shots and a med by mouth.) And no, there is no official word on what she is, they suspect a male. I told them if so, he will be Stormin Norman. Nicknamed Stormy. Hey it works. She is growing fast. And she is hunting me right now as I type. Lol.
Connor and Murphy got a present yesterday. A wacky sprinkler thingie. And it was hilarious to watch them play with it. Right now, Murphy is playing in the living room, while Connor is sleeping by my feet. Their lives are so hard.
As for me, I watched Alice yesterday and today. Well, Alice in Wonderland yesterday and Alice was last night and finished it today. M watched the end with me, and made all sorts of insightful comments. Ugh. No need more fuel for stories in that fandom!
I plan to finish my project tomorrow as well as the interviews/reviews for the next couple of weeks. So look out for more. Enjoy the time, and there is a hint of maybe a new story being done betaed.. maybe…
Sunday I came in here and entertained the kitten. But the Monday, instead of being online, I was holed up in my bedroom trying to keep cool.
It didn’t work.
Today I thought I was being uber productive, (vs veg state I have ended up in lately.) and cleaned the kitchen. I even asked Hubby M what he wanted for dinner, only to have myself fighting a migraine an hour later. I retreated into the bedroom, and since my allergies are killing me, I took Benadryl to hopefully help. (I don’t take pain meds unless it is a last resort. I have a high pain tolerance, and it also affects my ringing in my ear that is getting worse also.)
M wakes me up and then feels bad, after he touches me, and I am burning up. he gives me IBUProfen, and then leaves the room in blessed darkness (even though he should be sleeping for work himself.) The he does something that makes everyone bless him. He goes outside and sprays off the AC. Immediately there is a difference in my room. I finally could get up, and since then, the temp has dropped 2 degrees. It was 80 in the house, (83 outside with a heat index of 93) and now it is a blessed 77 now. And still dropping.
Yes, 3rd world issues, but I already would have died long time ago in a 3rd world. I was raised a Northern Chick, and I need it to survive! I so hate the heat. And the Humidity. Can’t forget that bugger that makes my nice hair frizzy within a step outside. Seriously. Don’t need the humidity. It can go somewhere else. Like CA. They need it.
Anywho, this is all to explain how much of a wimp I am. And seriously, I am. Once Winter comes, I will be the one thrilled when the rest of Houston is complaining of the cold. I can’t wait this year to go to Tucson. We stay outside of Tucson in a town called Benson, it’s higher up. It gets colder and more chance of Snow!!!! (Yes, I told you I belong in the north!!!!)
Right now, I am going to be sitting here writing out my ideas for Sacred. I have other obligations, and since they have time limits on them, I need to get them out. I will probably do what I have done with Sacred, edit what I have, and write on them after I finish a chapter or Midnight comes.
I have an inquiry out on what is ready to go this week. If I do, you will see another email from me.

She thinks she is, but when I have to restart my computer 3 times in the last 2 days, and reset my keyboard completely, well it aint helping. She manages to run across any keyboards that are out. I just wanted to let you guys know what is going on. I am not ignoring anyone, I am just having health issues. Hopefully with this idea, we can hope I will be fine enough to get back to working at night again. I like being nocturnal, no one talks to me in the house, and I get crap loads done. My muse loves it also!

I get the idea you guys REALLY liked All I Want. I will promise you this, if nothing else, I will write it when I am back in Tucson this winter! Truly…. I did this when I read through the awards this morning:
The vacay was awesome. I spent the time with my mother in law, and we (including M) went all over Houston. She had been here on a convention for Emergency services. And she was quite amazed by our cities readiness.
And of course they had a laugh on TS Bill at the convention. I told you he was a joke.
Huge reminder, the Fairy Tales contest is ending at midnight tomorrow. Get your entries in. This means on the first, I will be busy making the banners for each entry. Once that is done, then 4Padfoot needs to set up the polls and so on. We try to get them out to you as quickly as possible.
So while I was gone, I would hit up wifi spots to reblog things. I kept seeing something that I had done good in the Fanatic Fanfics, but I didn’t look it up. As it was, trying to explain that I really feel like my muse is not me, and how I often don’t know the ending to my own stories, until it is written. And how there was all these little clues I scattered into the story without knowing and so on, well let’s just say its a good thing my Mother in Law knows me so well, or I would be in a white coat this morning.
It is really hard to explain it to someone who has no idea. M even tried to explain it. He made more sense, but he told me it was a little more out there than most would think. But his description? My subconscious is my muse… If so, the little bitch needs to behave even more!!!!
So I squealed, then tried to explain it. And gave up. She supports me 100% but doesn’t really understand. I can deal with that.
While this past week came about, I got two new Cousins, (Nephews). To be clear, I have 3 normal Nephews. As in they are my nephews because 2 are my brothers, and 1 is my sister in laws. However, because of how close the real family used to be, I was raised with my cousins being closer than cousins. So all the current babies call me Aunt Wendy. And M has a butchered name, but it is accepted by all of us. They have slowly made it into fics. I have Riley, need to add Evan and the new ones into it.
One of them was Korbin, which came first. And then came Noah. Noah was special….
About 3 years ago my Grandfather died of Alzheimer’s. That had started my year of bad luck, since Bear died, and then the following year is when my dad died as well as my mom being diagnosed with Breast Cancer. It is what made me go to Tucson for a month and half to get away from everything. And what led to AIW being written.
But my grandfather’s birthday would have been yesterday. And Noah, after much pain for mom, came into the world in the last hour possible to make it a day we still celebrate, just with joy and slight sadness for the man who had the birthday first. What a way to honor him…
I am meandering alot this day, sorry! But being on vacation means that the slight control I had over the muse, is gone. Which is good since I have alot I need to get done!

My vacation is here, and as of Saturday, I was bored to death! Seriously. Alot of it has to do with sleep. Not much of that going on lately, between the heat and the kitten. Since she likes to sleep on me, it doesn’t help…

Then there is the reminder that the writing contest is ending in a week and a day. I am soo looking forward to reading you guys work! And making the banners for you guys. It will keep Stormy all entertained for however it takes.
As for me? I am going to do whatever I like. I think today I am going to play computer games since it is too hot in the rest of the house. We are waiting for the bonuses to get a new AC unit, that is desperately needed. Since this room houses the computer not only for me, but my mom, I have worked to make it the coolest room in the house. The AC blows in here first (not that that actually helps all that much but hey every little bit!) has the best ceiling fan, on my end there is a fan on the tower itself, and a fan on the credenza behind me. There is a 5 degree difference from the rest of the house and there is a 5 degree difference from the actual temperature in the house and the hallway, which is where the temp is at. It says it is 78 right now.. it aint…. You can feel the difference walking through the house… The AC we have is for the front of the house, but when they added the rest of the house on, they forgot to upgrade the AC unit.
So yuck. Even the dogs are like OFFICE IS OPEN!!! REPEAT.. the OFFICE is OPEN!!!! It sounds like a stampede when I open the door. They are now under my desk, be all happy and crap.
Also remember, there is a coming soon ribbon on the home page. It has been updated. I am missing one banner, and that is for All I Want’s sequel. But all the rest of the coming soons are there… It may be nothing more than a banner and a description, but it is more than what you had before!!! There is a sequel in there that the name has been shown….

And I do have to say THANK YOU for the ladies helping out on the database… It truly is a weight off me to not worry on it. I already did an export to give to 4Padfoot, for her new site she is making… She teases me with snapshots… I cannot wait to see it completed or out where I can play with it!
