For those that are not aware of how these started, I was asked in the Kittyinaz Facebook Group a lot of what I use for inspiration. I use four things. Listening to songs, Watching a YouTube Video (Which is basically the same thing but specific to fandoms), a picture, or a quote.
That is why I started this contest, to give the inspirations that I use to others, and give them a completely anonymous chance to see how their writing would be received. I seriously wish I had this type of opportunity. It is also great for the established writers, since we often run into writers block, and sometimes this can help jar us out of our rut. The fact that everyone is mixed together and presented with no idea of who wrote what, is a great equalizer. I have participated in contests for others, in fact, I make a point of trying for any of my betas who have contest. Unless I have nada. It happens. I will admit, I had NOTHING for Kelpie’s contest. I tried soo hard.
I try to rotate through the mediums that help me, and since December was Christmas carols, then, songs were used. Then last month, we had the picture you are voting on right now. This month. A Quote. I had two that I liked, and gave my betas the choice. Then I debated on two banners. So they decided on that too. So this was a group effort.
I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to host these! Knowing a lot of writers have told me they started here, and some newcomers beating some writers that you would be shocked on. These are open to all the fandoms I write in. Why only those? Because those are the fandoms that have brought so many readers to the site. I want to make sure you all get a chance. I will say I was thrilled to have a Alice 2009 entry for this month!!! I think I danced in my chair. I don’t often get to make banners with those people!
So please share this out in the void called Internet. This is open to all, the rules are on the page which you only have to click the banner to be taken to. Any questions can be sent to the emails or asked online. Someone is always checking those addresses and the betas and I are online.

Yes. It is always sad when a story is kinda done. I say kinda… cause this is just the first of three parts.
Justice will be next… Which will take place around the events of POA. It will lead up to it and you will get to hear the result of Victoria’s punishment.

As you can see, we have a lot to do, and we are not looking at the ones I have not finished yet. I Never Did is waiting on me to reread and make sure the errors that had been found by our very own wonderful Continuity Beta is fixed. For the stories that I have been working on getting out, well as soon as I get them to the betas, they will tell me what day they want to aim for.
And remember, This is NOT a guarantee. I have a real life as well as my betas, and am very insistent on them doing their own thing. And of course there are family emergencies, or kids stuff and adult stuff and … well you get the idea.
Then there are the times when I was detressing, making a banner for adoption, and the perfect song along with the banner inspires me… to make this:
Yes. A new story. I spent the last two days working it out, and TexasEx has already claimed it. I have to admit, that is one of the few banners I just stare at shocked I made it. As always, you can click on it to be taken to the placeholder that actually has a description. No chapters yet, I am working to get it written down and then move on to finish Clocks and so on, but don’t be surprised when I am writing Aos Si and In The End, this will be played with.
I think I need a straightjacket for the muse.
Also, (yes I am making you read all this!) I finally finished the banner for Looney Tooney!!! I want to give a huge shout out to Ms. A. Taney!!! She is the one who drew for me the characters. Yes. She DREW them. She is WAY more talented than I am!!! I can draw stick figures. I can color like you wouldn’t believe it, but actually draw the stuff??? Monday’s chapter is already sent to me. I just need to look it over and make the banner for it. Tomorrow is for me to work on the database if I want. I may need a day of rest. I’m still in pain, but so much needs to be done, including….
Christmas. Yes. I am half Russian and my Dad celebrated Russian Christmas. So I remember the day in honor of him. He loved it as much as I did, and my mom jokes about it, saying she didn’t really remember it when she was married to him. But all in all, it’s fun, and it harms no one. So today, I am taking it down. <sighs> The house is looking so bare now…
