I finished the first prequel two days ago and it is 12K for a rough draft. I am expecting it will be about 15K at least when I get to editing it. It’s a monster of a one shot, but we are not allowing it to be other than that.
For one thing, my muse is driving me to write. Not able to really sleep, or do anything but write this prequel. I dream about it when I get some sleep, and falling asleep is nothing but time for my muse to present scenario after scenario to me. Which would be fine, if I could remember the lines! I remember the gist of it. That’s all.
I WANT to work on any of the stories, to edit, to write, to do anything! But instead, my muse is being a bitch of a taskmaster. So I am working on it, hoping to finish it, and to then start on editing it. My beta is very ready to get to work on it. But then, any of my betas are ready to work on their stories.
I know… You guys are waiting for anything, and I have plenty to edit and write. But the sad thing? Is that the Fire Series is just beginning. Luckily I may get a break so I can work on some of the others stories that have nothing to do with the Fire Series. But we will see.
But I wanted to let you guys know I am alive. And to also remind you of the current Writing Challenge…
I finally had time to sit down and make a banner. I was trying to make it different from the last one, and I think I did it:
It is the Fairy Tale Contest, but I couldn’t help myself and used Once Upon a Time. I added some more elements than the castle, in hopes it helps inspire you.

I can’t copy and paste them, and for some reason, I couldn’t pull them through Word this time. So please don’t send them to me, use whatever program you write in.
Also, on the contest page is a link to Wiki’s list of fairy tales and such. I also list other possibilities. Just remember, this is supposed to be a prompt to help you get an idea and write. I also included Maleficent since I wanted you guys to think of maybe turning the world on the edge by telling the Villain’s tales in a different way. I know I didn’t think of Maleficent of being the bad person as much after the movie!

Thanks to the authors who entered and made this such close race!!!!! You definently inspired me to make such different banners even though they were all based on the same pic!
I also added something new to the bottom of each of the stories. I added the author cards for each of them. These are featured on my Blogs I Follow page, and if anyone wants to have their site added, they can either submit a card 888×499 with your site address and I am more than happy to add you to them. I am also looking to replace any in the page that are not to the new size. I am slowly changing them all to look like the headers of your pages.
This change, I feel, will be able to allow you to follow those authors in the past and future endeavors.
As for me, My computer is fixed!!!!
I also had a meeting with the beta’s and we have a new beta to announce:
She will be taking over the Tin Man story. I am excited to have someone working with me. She has watched the movie and has knowledge of the books and movie that needs to be with this one.
Also, the home page where the betas rest will be updated. There have been additional changes. For those that applied for Beta positions, thanks, and be on the lookout. Real Life is a bastard that takes us all down.
I am off to work on Timelines. Remember, for me, Sundays are a day of rest. I will be working on editing this week, as well as writing the one story I need to be in the office to write. After this week, I will be back to editing in the morning/late night while writing in the afternoon/evening when hubby is home. This will hopefully get me caught up where I can continue to do as I was, writing when the urge hit me.

If you follow me personally on Facebook, I was a very sick person this week.
For some reason, I get cold like symptoms when I have allergy attacks. And per everything, I am guessing I am getting sinus infections which is the only thing that makes sense. Plus I was having other things, so I was in bed being drugged into sleeping. It was so bad I was taking 3 Benadryl along with Sinex. And it was barely working…
Today is the first day I have felt like a human. I was kinda excited to go sit in my comfy chair, and maybe write something since I am still very foggy in the brain section to be able to catch my own mistakes and add things correctly when I am that bad. And would you know my laptop kept shutting down continuously to the point I had to look up how to get into Safe Mode. Seems there are three of them, and of course, I needed the second one to run McAfee. It’s running right now while I sit here and write this on the desktop.
Though it did allow me to have time to watch Assasin’s Creed. And quite a bit of Marvel shows on NetFlix. I am not sure about Iron Fist though, it just kinda bugs me for some reason, and no, I have not started Luke Cage since I am still in the middle of Jessica Jones. These are things I never really have time for since I am trying to write.

If you asked for an extension, and I have forgotten (which is sooo freaking likely with my drugged up head) Let me know. I am going to be online for a little bit working on banners for the contest.
And for chapters from me? I am trying to wrap up some ideas floating in my mind, and I will be releasing them hopefully next week spread out. Like they used to be… It seems to work better for me and for you guys. I can plan better and not just do a huge long list of updates. It will have to be next week since I am still recovering and need to get these banners done…
