5h agoI am messaging you to please remove your story Eternity of Night from you writings.

This is my ED (Every Dark Night Turns Into Day) (You can find this here on Fanficiton, or on my site www dot Kittyinaz dot com. I have also seen what you have done with other stories, and while you are not copying the story word for word, you are still stealing an idea.

Here is the definition of plagiarism:

Sweetie. I am one of the more prolific of writers out there. I have 29+ stories in the works, and there is just no way to have published all of the stories you have. I have dedicated betas to my stories to help me keep up with the all of them, since I often run ideas by them.

ED was the product of many sleepless nights. For instance, why is Godric in Port Angeles? I had him going to Seattle.. but there was a reason, that any True Blood and SVM fan will know of.

There are many inside jokes in my writing, and I have worked harder than you ever imagine for this story. The amount of research alone would boggle your mind.

Also you may not be aware, but this is HIGHLY illegal. In fact a member of the True Blood fanfiction world just had her story stolen and published. She is now in the middle of suing that lady. And since this person had actually made some money and received awards for her work, this is likely to be a huge lawsuit.

So please remove the story. There is no reason for you to get nasty.

Also, you may want to take a step back. While I understand the need to write, you may wish to work on a story at a time. I am thrilled you are writing, but you need to work on the stories a little more. Before all this happened I read a couple since I was excited a new writer was out there, and hit the x to get out. You have potential if you will work on your own ideas, and put more work in the story. I normally write about 2k for each chapter… some a little more (ok a lot more) and then some below that number. Then after I am done writing I go back and flesh it all out. Sometimes adding up to 3K of words (which normally happened on ED). Now I am not saying you need to do all that, but often your writing is like you are blurting out ideas. It seems more like a draft, or even my own notes when I researching something.

Take the time to write your own stories. The fans can wait. But it is suspicious that you have 42+ stories all published at the same time. I have been told that while I was flying back from meeting one of my betas, you had even more stories. I have more stories than most, but it is only fair to you as well as your fans for you taking more time with them.

So do a favor, remove the stories that you are basically summarizing. Once you get a reputation for Plagiarism, it ends badly for you. I know my fans (which are many) will be angry with you since they know how much work I put in these. As well as the fans of Bertie Bott and Harley. The three of us are friends, and in fact talk with each other VERY often. I even made Harley’s cover pic of Gamma Love.

FanFiction is a very close group. I would hate for you to get in trouble, not only with the group, or even with the law. This is a real worry for you. And if you notice, we all put disclaimers saying we do not make money nor anything from the authors. We acknowledge they wrote the story.

If you ask us, we are more likely to give permission, provided that you give us credit. Bertie Bott has done this when she wrote a story from me inspiring her from one of mine. I did it for What If, and had LONG conversations with the author who inspired that fic. It is the right thing to do.

So take down the stories before your reputation is completely ruined, and then sit down and write an original. Take the time to pour your efforts into it. I promise you will be even happier about it.

I look forward to your response. I am asking nicely, and would hate to take this further, but I will. I just worked way too hard on ED to allow it to be taken by someone else.

28m agoFirst off, I did say if you HAD asked. It is a tad too late now.

And I know about not staying on a story for long. I am editing 6 stories, and I worked on all those in the last writing session. Dear, your writing shows promise, but you need to work on it. It sounds like you are trying to summarize the story we wrote. I do more when I am doing the story reviews for the True Blood writers I do for the non cannon awards. You need more details. You are stating what is going on. Not even drabbles are as brief as you are in your stories. Think of it as you are now just stating in a black and white what is happening. What you need to do is paint a picture. SO far you have drawn the lines but nothing more. And if you ever look at a drawing the first lines give no clue what the picture is about. A horse for instance in a open box to start drawing. That is what you have.

You need to make it a movie to play in their minds. Little things like having movement. They are not paper cutouts in a circle talking to each other, they are beings. They twitch, they stroke their eyebrow, their tones when talking are different. All this helps. instead of quantity, do quality. I understand the short attention span. I am literally driven to write. So I write the scene in broad strokes., then I go back and add the details into the chapter that help make it a full feature summer blockbuster.

And if you want to have a health issue contest, I can beat it easily. I also have dealt with EVERY November at least 3 members of my family finding out they have cancer or die. So yes. I understand that, but it is not an excuse.

Frankly it was not the name of the story, but that you had many similar events happening in your stories that you can nail down to our stories. Like Eric and Pam coming. I had an intricate reasoning behind it. It sounded like you didn’t understand that so through them into the story. You don’t get into enough depth to make it different from our stories, so it sounds like all you are is taking our ideas and trying to write them. But if you had fleshed them out more, maybe it would not have been so obvious.

Think of it going the other way. Imagine you dedicated tears, sweat, sleepness nights as well multiple hours of your life working on a story. Then someone comes along and grabs the story and summarizes it changing little details. And when you try to point out that they took your ideas, they basically whine and tell you they didn’t. But you can take your chapter by chapter and see the same events happening.

It’s not just me you are insulting, its my betas, who take their time of their lives to work on my stuff. My beta for ED is Meridian. She works HARD!!! She takes a week to edit my stuff. And she does it to make sure it is right. When she is done, you can’t find what she has done. It’s not that it is such a mess, it is that she makes sure it can pass an English professors scrutiny. My words aren’t changed. Or she finds something that is sooo clear in my head that I forgot to put those details into, and she asks me to clarify.

By taking my idea and running with it, you are insulting the team behind the work. the rest of my team listens when I come on debating sentences. Trying to make sure this sounds right. Not to mention the freaking time to research. The Blood Oath? That took days to research Viking Blood bonds. And I used it for a paragraph. You see what you are insulting? Our pain, our work everything. I can NEVER get back the time I spent on that story…

That is what I am angry about. I work in bursts due to my own health issues. And those bursts are un retrievable. I sacrifice a lot to write, and you are mocking those sacrifices.

So take the story down, ask next time. And please. Work on your stories. Right now they are not evendrabbles…

Do you understand, that if someone was not as nice as we have been so far can take legal action against you? It is a real item. I am not kidding. Pretty Kitty was plagiarized and the writer is suing the person who did it, and the lawyer took the case FOR FREE. They don’t do that unless they are sure they will win. the ideas behind the writing is OURS. This is actually a legal part of publishing on the internet.

In addition to this, this story is one I am adding to my Brotherhood universe I will be writing. I have worked over a year on a original novel, and this is one slated to become part of that universe with heavy editing. SO this idea you are stealing has a LARGE background you are cheating by taking my work, but it also has a background you don’t know, and characters in it that are original.

And no dear, they are not complete chapters. Would you really pay $5 for not even a page a chapter story? No. I admire your dedication for this, but you need to work on the length more. Mine are about what a normal chapter for a book is. Look up what normal chapters are.

If I or any of my fans find this story, or any of my others on it, I will not be so nice.

You are making excuses for cheating and lying. I was nice… but I will be announcing to my fans what happened and have them on the lookout. This is your last warning. I am fast losing respect for you. At least the other person who did this admitted it, took down the story, and issued VERY public apologies for what they did, not claim they didn’t do it. SHE earned my respect.
