Yeah… I didn’t like it much when I got up to go to the gym. But hey, it has to come so we can get to the weekend faster. Now… In my honest opinion, the weekend can just not end, but I saw that cartoon when Christmas didn’t end and I learned my lesson.

I am running back and forth from the kitchen and here. I came from the gym and started dinner, which is my own sauce that I made up one day and it a fan favorite. The bad thing is that I am bad about being patient, so I learned to go into another room and work on something, checking on it for this stage. (Cooking down the broth before the sauce is added.)
Which leads me to reminding you guys that there is a Kittyinaz’s Group Food Blog that is being updated at least once a week. They are planning some awesome stuff, and my sauce recipe is there. And there is a YUMMY as heck Sweet potato casserole that has a 5 star rating from all who taste it. Shoot, last year, I only got one serving, my parents ate the rest.

As some of you may remember, I am leaving this year for Tucson, AZ for a couple months. I leave the day before Thanksgiving, and will be back in January some time. Last time I went there, I wrote All I Want, and I plan to write it’s sequel. As well as many other things.
So I am planning to start the contest Thanksgiving, that way you guys can start reading the contest pieces. I am going to be announcing this as much as possible, and ask that people spread the contest also.
This year, I decided on prompts. There are 10 of them. These are what are going to be revealed each day, with the Facebook Group getting them a day early. I will tell you one of them has inspired me, then I went, I already wrote something close to it. The last prompt is a wide range of them, but I am hoping this will help you guys come up with ideas.

I hope to see entries!!! I will be working on them as they come in, to make it where I am not burdened down on the week I am trying to leave. The entries need to be in by midnight November 21st, CST. Once all the prompts are in, (or if 4Padfoot comes up with an idea) we will showcase the page.

I am off to check dinner, and hopefully be able to finish up the last chapter of the written Clocks for betaing. Dying to start again is in my hands, and I am looking it over. This weekend was a wash on doing anything but the Christmas Contest.
And I am not referencing World of Warcraft…. You guys seriously rock the boat!
So for those that don’t know me, or caught on with the symbols and such on the site. I love owls. Truly. And I can point to you the time I liked them was when I read the Belgariad by David Eddings. Since then, I have been fascinated by them. (And Hummingbirds, but owls are neat in an everyday thing, while hummingbirds are a sit and watch type thing.)

The winner is What If, however, the other story, Dying to Start Again started to pick up speed at the end.
Now here is the bad news. This is the last What If chapter Beta’d. And there are only 2 more in the queue. Yeah I know. I am REALLY trying to control the muse, but she is not paying much attention to me. I was lucky to get a bunch of chapters edited for Clocks yesterday. I am hoping I can finish the chapters that are done so I can move onto another story and closer to finishing the chapters that were already written.
Yes, I know that there are now other stories now in the queue. Like Some Sacred Place in Time. That one is up to 34 chapters right now. And maybe.. just maybe half way done. Not for sure. Which reminds me I need to give the teaser for this week on the Facebook Group.
I also worked on the sequel to the Mummy. One half chapter before she quit that one and jumped somewhere else. Oi Vey.
We will see if she will work on the last chapters tonight. This weekend, I am not allowing her to work, it will be a banner weekend. Plus I have my nephew’s 3rd bday to go to. So we will be working on the banners for the stories.
And the Charmed new story will be also going out also. I’m working it now, and once I am done, I need 4padfoot and her magic to happen also.
For those that like the Twilight/LotR story, I am happy to say a discussion in the beta chat has inspired me to go beyond normal in that one. Thanks so much to the betas for that fun chat!! And no, there is no spoof like I did with ED. It was an honest discussion and it sparked ideas that immediately got researched and approved on.
Cause this writer needs to learn how to corral my muse(s) into order. Or learn to lasso them. Or something!!!!!

Oh My GOOOODDDDDDD!!!!! You have no idea how much it drives me nuts!!! I want to work on something and finish. Instead I am jumping around, and if I don’t play her games, when and where she wants, there is nothing. I have partial chapters to prove it. Saturday was the worst!!!
So in punishment, she had to deal with bio’s this morning for the Original Fiction. I hate Bios. They are so helpful, but seriously, I hate them. I am filling out the information I am aware of, and then ask my wonderful, awesome, wouldn’t know what to do without her CB, if she can make sure I didn’t forget anything. When she has time. She has already assured me that there was no birthdays talked about yet, TG.
And face it, I will get out Revelations every other week. Hopefully this weekend I can work on some banners. I want to get that one all caught up, all across the board. I still need to catch up What If with banners for the chapters that were before I learned how to do them. And replace some KStew with Leighton. I think I missed one somewhere.

I am so going to try to work on Clocks. I want to get some more chapters out to Betas, so that when I leave for Tucson, you guys get some chapters to read. And that is coming up soon! I looked on my calendar and in two weeks starts the preps. Connor is going in for shots…. The following month he becomes an it. And Stormy will hopefully get the same thing soon too. She is getting close. I am only waiting on my Vet’s rec of 6 months…. the 25th this month will be that time. Then she will be fixed.. hopefully…
First we need to get Connor to his vet’s visit to find out how expensive he will be. Dogs are not cheap!
So watch this site for hopefully some updated. I am trying to work (see above) but unless someone can tell me how to get the muse or muses to stick on point, I am jumping around. And since she won’t work with me on editing.. I’m at loose ends.
If I am feeling up to it, I can see in my stats (thanks to a nifty add-on that 4Padfoot put on the site) the pretty map down below. Yeah. That thing used to sit as the first thing I can see when I dropped into the dashboard of my site, and now I gotta go looking for it, since I also like to see the stats per day also. But it shows me I have Europe, The Americas (ignore the island that is white.. it is not worth your time!) Australia, Most of Asia, and maybe half of Africa. So I am on my way to dominating the world.

But I had a thought when I was typing up my post. It tied in beautifully into what I have been thinking the last few days.
It is is simple. Most people when they look at stats for a story, they look at reviews. Not them themselves, well not everyone does, but the number.
But I have noticed on my fics and others out there a disturbing trend on Fanfiction and other sites. But you see it mostly on Fanfiction and WordPress since those of us that have WordPress can see how many hits we had to the site. And for ones like me, we can see how many visitors are clicking in.
I taught myself early on to look at the numbers, and don’t look at the reviews. But I know how it hurts on especially new writers, or people like me to open a story we have just started, and seeing TONS of followers. And one review.
Now, I will admit I am BAD about leaving reviews. But I have hit that follow button for later.
Last night after thinking on it, (It was late give me a break…) but seriously. When I hit that follow button, why can’t I leave a simple “Hey this interests me!” Or something to that effect? Something. Anything? If you can hit that follow button, you must found something that you liked on it. So why not let the author know it?
Yeah, Fanfiction sends us emails when people follow and favorite, but to be honest, I tune them out. I get 35 emails between me falling asleep and waking up. Then I get more, sometimes a hundred over the day. I empty my trash every other day of over 300 unread emails. When you deal with that many, when you see it is not a review or an update to a story, you delete. Sorry, but yeah.
So, I figured, after seeing my plan for World Domination (see the post following this for more information) is getting pretty far in reaching out to the world out there, I figured I could use those numbers to see if I can help out new authors or even authors like me.
Here is the official challenge: If you are going to follow a story (Or Favorite instead of follow), leave a quick note why. What interested you enough to hit that button?
If we do this, it might help some struggling writers out there to feel better on their works. Since a lot of them don’t think to look at the follows and favs as much as they do those reviews.
And hey, don’t we deserve it as authors? As Readers? To spend a few minutes over something that may have spent hours, days, weeks, months and who knows what other issues for that writer to publish it? Also, it may just inspire that author you loved to write more.

This is my weekly post to let you know I still live. And yes the top pic is random. I love Sebastian! Roche!!!!
First off, to relax your mind, you will not longer have to listen to me telling you about my life. You can read it now here.
This will be for the stories.
So in case you guys don’t realize, this is how I work. I write the stories. I work on them, until I get to a stopping part that the muse won’t work with me anymore. Then I either head off elsewhere to see if the muse will come back, or I try to edit the work.
I do things in chunks. So when I edit, I edit a bunch of chapters at once, and give them to the betas. Now, for editing, it is not what you think. Yeah, I run it through Grammarly at the end, to try to make life easier for my betas. But what I am doing is adding the words that I skipped the first time, expand scenes and so on. The word count at the beginning is the word count when I went through the first time and wrote it. The final count is once I am down. Sometimes the betas correct the number when they are done with it, sometimes they don’t. That is their preference.
I also add the pics, banners, everything but the final steps of linking so that if something ever happens and I am unable to publish, the Betas can publish. 4padfoot can do all the linking and so forth. So when I am saying I am editing, I try to give it time to settle in my mind so I can actually see those skipped words. I try to do editing things, like all the verb tenses that I am bad at, but yeah.
So often when you guys comment, the chapters are weeks, if not months, behind what I am doing right now. That is why I often say you can inspire my muse to pick back up a story.
For instance. Sacred is 29 chapters written. You will get it once a week. This gives everyone time to work on everything once they start working on it. When I say I do things in chunks, luckily as time goes by, the chunks get bigger.
And since Crossing the Fine Line was achieved in a month, I will be trying to write more in larger chunks.
But this leads to longer pauses on things.
Plus we all have RL. You do, I do, the betas do.
Ok. So this week it looks I have in the queue for posting What If, and Revelations. I am going to try to get to work on editing Clocks, then at least writing one chapter a day on a story. Since there are a couple clamoring for attention, we will see what happens.
I also wish to remind you guys, that there are ad’s on my site for Amazon. They all contain links to the site with my tag on them. If you buy through these, or the link, I get a small percentage of what you spend back. It costs nothing to you guys, but it helps pay for this site. And for the help that others give to the site. I know there are some not working right now, but I will need a weekend with 4Padfoot for us to look at the ads and determine what to do. We try to pick ones that self update, but without input, we have no idea what you guys would like to see.

There is the reblog site for updates. Now that I am up and moving that will be kept up again. There is also a Food Blog that has some dedicated ladies working on it. They post a lot of new recipes and I love it!!!
Today, ending at midnight CST, is the banner contest vote. I was late this month on the challenge, but we have our three contestants, and anyone who is a member of the Facebook Group, can vote.

I am doing the Christmas Writing Challenge. The information will be out by the 21st, since that will give you a month to get the entries in. I will be heading out of the state for 2-3 months after that, and no too sure how Photoshop will work on my laptop. Unlike this computer that has dedicated graphics cards and everything maxed out, the laptop is borrowed from another. The laptop I want is $900+. Yeah, it seems a lot, but it will last me a couple years after I get it. The last one I had, was a gaming computer that came with Vista on it. And the major issue with that one? Not enough memory now as well as an odd reluctance to connect to Drive. But damn did it run some badass programs!!!! It’s also the computer I started writing fanfiction on. I more than got my money out of that thing.
Ok I am off to start my stuff for this week. See you guys later!
So, I spent yesterday moving Alice and Hatter to BiT (Better in Texas) and Fanfiction Affliction. Loaded it and finished, even with the linking in BiT. Then I was remembering my beta (MKnue) told me had chapters for this story done. I went out and bam! They are done!!!
But here is the deal. I will be making banners for these chapters, so I can move them all over to BIT and the other sites all prettied up.
Fanfiction still has the majority of the chapters, and will until we catch this one up. Once that is done, Outtake is being yanked, and Fanfiction will only have edited chapters. (no lemons. WE can’t have those nasty things on our site!!!!!)
I will try to publish one day a week the chapters. Not sure what days it will be published. Still sorting things out. I need to get back to editing this week, and Clocks is almost out of the trouble area, and it will go much faster. I don’t have that one finished, but you guys wanted what I had. I then need to work on editing Best, then Sacred then Blood. All the chapter we have published on Fanfiction for this one had been edited by me.
The links on the chapter do not work yet. I need to go in and find the shortlinks and so on. Sorry.
Basically, I was not ready to be up Monday. And have paid for it, sleeping most days including that one away. But…I feel better….

And my Muse decided to show who is boss when I am drugged. I have 2 chapters written of a story that I refused to write. I’m kinda grumpy over it. She took advantage of the fact I was drugged!!!! I don’t know what to call it. To be honest…

I am trying to be good, but I often sound like the Black Knight, in insisting it is only a scratch… But my betas (yeah even the new ones, and the ladies who joined us over on the Food Blog!) have long caught on to my little idiosyncracies. So I will be checking the other sites to see if they are caught up. Then back to bed for me. And hopefully maybe some work done on the laptop, but it all depends on how I am feeling.
I am shooting for full recovery from the drugs soon. And hopefully, my body can figure out the middle between no sleep and too much sleep. I just want to be kinda normal. kinda…
As for my tooth? Yeah, that sucker is on Aleve now. I’m back to being able to drink through a straw so I am enjoying the hell out of my SodaStream drink. Yeah, I am weird I can’t drink soda unless out of a straw or once in a while, an 18 ounce or whatever bottle. Sensitive teeth.
And the pets?
Stormy is ruling the house. Literally. Family begs me to get back in the office since she will come in here and just sleep with me. Or play with Tucker. Whichever, It is better than her running along the backs of chairs, down a chair then across the chairs to start her track again. She also has decided to like my dad’s water. No matter what flavours he puts into it. She sleeps in the bedroom on M or beside me. Depends on her mood.
Connor is well… Connor. He begs to be in the room so he can’t be blamed for Murphy tearing up stuff. It is a surefire way to know something is torn apart. He also, if in the room, will sleep the entire night between M and me. We need a bigger bed. Coming next month will start us getting him ready for the trip. He will enjoy that, since he will have new dogs to play with, and maybe, just maybe he can play with mom and dad without M butting in. (Well he won’t have Murphy since he is staying here with his owners, but there are two other dogs, one of them a golden….)
Murphy? He likes my rugs in the bathroom. We have to keep the bathroom door open to allow the AC to run correctly. Don’t ask, it works is all I know. He also prefers to sleep on the floor in our room, on an Avengers blanket we bought for Connor. If we open our door at night, nothing happens, but we get little room on the bed. We may need to look to buying a king so we have room! But Murphy thinks he sleeps on the bed, but he gets down each time. He also is bad with his paws, going so far to hit me Monday on my jaw that was operated on. He is still a work in progress. We are still teaching him that jumping up and not landing on anyone is ok. But the other is not.
That is everything on my side. I am going to get this off. I appreciate you guys still reading these things.

An addiction to Candy Crush
Right now, I am experiencing pain for the first time, but it’s not too bad. In other words, I should be in bed taking another pill, since what I feel as an ache is to normal people a lot of fucking pain. But I wanted to share some information with you guys.
To entertain me, my hubby made great use of my apple TV. And found Inuyasha on Netflix. And started it. Needless to say, this inspired me for my Inuyasha story. Especially since it is where the anime started. I have been brokenly writing a chapter for it. I say brokenly cause it is in between times that I am sleeping. And it has been driving me.
I also have a chapter of Edge started. When I say the drugs had me all scrambled I really mean it. Don’t worry. No drugs in my system now, and they make sense to me. LOL
I also had emails from my beta of What If saying she had three chapters done. WoOt! I’ll get to those when I am able to sit longer at a computer.
In addition, I had words from my beta for the Charmed crossover, and she is finishing the edits on those chapters. She had sent me some tests to make sure the muse didn’t run away. They were fine, we discussed some alternatives. And now I am waiting for the chapters to fly my way.
For those that are wondering when I am going to read their updates, well I have 330+ emails of updates in my inbox. I couldn’t read at all. So…sorry! Some of them I was saving for a day to settle down and enjoy them in more time, not devouring them to get them out of my inbox. I also have a bunch of things I need to reblog to get out of my inbox. Sorry!
I’m guessing a lot of you enjoyed Crossing the Fine Line. it had to be one of the most labor intensive stories I have done. Only because of the time restraints.
Also, to let you guys know, there WILL be a Christmas themed writing challenge. It will be early, since I will be gone from Nov 25-Jan 25 (Approximate) and I am not sure if my laptop I am taking with me can handle photoshop.
