Truly…. I did this when I read through the awards this morning:
The vacay was awesome. I spent the time with my mother in law, and we (including M) went all over Houston. She had been here on a convention for Emergency services. And she was quite amazed by our cities readiness.
And of course they had a laugh on TS Bill at the convention. I told you he was a joke.
Huge reminder, the Fairy Tales contest is ending at midnight tomorrow. Get your entries in. This means on the first, I will be busy making the banners for each entry. Once that is done, then 4Padfoot needs to set up the polls and so on. We try to get them out to you as quickly as possible.
So while I was gone, I would hit up wifi spots to reblog things. I kept seeing something that I had done good in the Fanatic Fanfics, but I didn’t look it up. As it was, trying to explain that I really feel like my muse is not me, and how I often don’t know the ending to my own stories, until it is written. And how there was all these little clues I scattered into the story without knowing and so on, well let’s just say its a good thing my Mother in Law knows me so well, or I would be in a white coat this morning.
It is really hard to explain it to someone who has no idea. M even tried to explain it. He made more sense, but he told me it was a little more out there than most would think. But his description? My subconscious is my muse… If so, the little bitch needs to behave even more!!!!
So I squealed, then tried to explain it. And gave up. She supports me 100% but doesn’t really understand. I can deal with that.
While this past week came about, I got two new Cousins, (Nephews). To be clear, I have 3 normal Nephews. As in they are my nephews because 2 are my brothers, and 1 is my sister in laws. However, because of how close the real family used to be, I was raised with my cousins being closer than cousins. So all the current babies call me Aunt Wendy. And M has a butchered name, but it is accepted by all of us. They have slowly made it into fics. I have Riley, need to add Evan and the new ones into it.
One of them was Korbin, which came first. And then came Noah. Noah was special….
About 3 years ago my Grandfather died of Alzheimer’s. That had started my year of bad luck, since Bear died, and then the following year is when my dad died as well as my mom being diagnosed with Breast Cancer. It is what made me go to Tucson for a month and half to get away from everything. And what led to AIW being written.
But my grandfather’s birthday would have been yesterday. And Noah, after much pain for mom, came into the world in the last hour possible to make it a day we still celebrate, just with joy and slight sadness for the man who had the birthday first. What a way to honor him…
I am meandering alot this day, sorry! But being on vacation means that the slight control I had over the muse, is gone. Which is good since I have alot I need to get done!

My vacation is here, and as of Saturday, I was bored to death! Seriously. Alot of it has to do with sleep. Not much of that going on lately, between the heat and the kitten. Since she likes to sleep on me, it doesn’t help…

As for me? I am going to do whatever I like. I think today I am going to play computer games since it is too hot in the rest of the house. We are waiting for the bonuses to get a new AC unit, that is desperately needed. Since this room houses the computer not only for me, but my mom, I have worked to make it the coolest room in the house. The AC blows in here first (not that that actually helps all that much but hey every little bit!) has the best ceiling fan, on my end there is a fan on the tower itself, and a fan on the credenza behind me. There is a 5 degree difference from the rest of the house and there is a 5 degree difference from the actual temperature in the house and the hallway, which is where the temp is at. It says it is 78 right now.. it aint…. You can feel the difference walking through the house… The AC we have is for the front of the house, but when they added the rest of the house on, they forgot to upgrade the AC unit.
So yuck. Even the dogs are like OFFICE IS OPEN!!! REPEAT.. the OFFICE is OPEN!!!! It sounds like a stampede when I open the door. They are now under my desk, be all happy and crap.
Also remember, there is a coming soon ribbon on the home page. It has been updated. I am missing one banner, and that is for All I Want’s sequel. But all the rest of the coming soons are there… It may be nothing more than a banner and a description, but it is more than what you had before!!! There is a sequel in there that the name has been shown….

And I do have to say THANK YOU for the ladies helping out on the database… It truly is a weight off me to not worry on it. I already did an export to give to 4Padfoot, for her new site she is making… She teases me with snapshots… I cannot wait to see it completed or out where I can play with it!

But it was an enjoyable day to spend with MamaKitty as she worked from home that day. We had her special blend of tea, and worked on stuff. Or she worked. I had alot of other things going on, including attack kitty.
Seriously. Morgan nor any of my other cats were this bad.. I seriously look like I got into a fight with a weedwacker, and lost. Before, I could have won… but not anymore. I won’t show you the damage. Stormy is earning it’s name.
So innocent of a face isn’t it. But I am glad I have it. (No we STILL cannot tell what it is. Could be a boy.. could be a girl. But the name is Stormy, it answers to it now). Stormy though can stand up for itself against the dogs. Not enough for us not to be standing over the dogs to check on it, but Stormy thinks she defeats the dogs and hates being in the bedroom now. Escape artist is that one!

I have been working. And last night.. PS 2015 happened. I will be going through it, (they have more options for my favorite feature, shadows!) and looking through Lynda.com. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to learn anything. They have everything from Office, to WordPress, GIMP and Photoshop and so on. It’s videos and its done by experts of their fields. Anything you can imagine, if it is a program, they have it. MamaKitty heard the new PS video explaining all the fun things you can do say there is more on that site, and she gave me her access to it. She has it for CAD which is what she does, and she has recently been watching it for OneNote.
I found Access classes, (my specialty, yes I really have one! I built many for my old workplace, that made mine and their lives easier..Until I was gone and they couldn’t get them to work if they broke them… ::insert evil laughter::) and WordPress. I am going to see if they have my theme and so on. I am also going to look at the classes for Lightroom and anything my heart thinks to play with. I also was trained in CAD and loved to make 3D objects.

I am waiting for stuff to get back to me. Betas have real lives, shockingly. And most of mine now write and beta for others on top of that. Nothing has been abandoned. It’s stuck between me and them. 90% of the time it is me. I hold things up, and work them over again and again.

As for me, I didn’t get much done in writing, I did get one chapter done for HP, but I will try this weekend. I am starting on Clocks, which will be interesting. I also have demands of my betas and prereaders for more Sacred. Seems I made a monster there!

In addition, I live in the Houston area. Specifically, between Houston and Galveston. There is a Tropical whatever coming in. It is to be named Bill. Enough said? But basically I am in for alot of rain. Even if it hits where they think it will, lower on the coastline, we are on what is called the dirty side. Lots and lots of rain. Last night it was forcasted 10′ Now they are saying:

Let me tell you.. I am in one of those cities. And you guys heard me when I posted last time we are flooding, we just got rid of most of the water yesterday. I am so glad to be in a raised beam house, in the best drainage district in all of Galveston County. The other side of the road was the dividing line, and they had water everywhere.
If I am late tomorrow with posting the results, you know why. It will be interesting to say the least. It is NOT a hurricane. It is only a storm, but dropping alot of water on a city area already soaked. For some reason, my wishing isn’t moving this crap to CA. They need it. We don’t. Though.. If the rain wants to push all the State Birds called Mosquitoes away, I would be thrilled.

Right now, I am trying to wake up. Bad, BAD storm this morning and it finally stopped raining. When I was asked to get up and lock the doggie door, there was water in the yard standing enough to cover the paws and a ways up the dogs. Connor was soaked. The floor before the doggie door was standing puddles. Our yard was flooded, which we don’t unless it is bad. The neighbors across the street, well they are still under inches maybe a foot of water.
So glad I live in a raised beam house. For those that don’t know, that means my house sits on what looks like cinder blocks a couple feet off the ground. It is not a mobile home, but a house. The front part of my house was built after the 1912 storm in Galveston. It is also thought to keep the house cooler during the warm months with the air moving underneath. Most of the times, it is a pain in the ass, but when it floods, it is a blessing. And since it has survived many a hurricane, we are fine with it.
And then we have the fun of weather in Texas. Yesterday, with AC running all day it was 80 in the house. Today the AC is off right now, and I have turned off a fan in the office. And people wonder why I want to go back to AZ. Weather there is so much nicer!!!
So all this is to tell you, I have a try at a photoshop that someone requested, then I am going to work on Heavenly chapters. Yes, you heard it, I wrote one last night. Then I spent the rest of the time thinking of what else I need to hit up to finish this book. There will be a total of 6 books in this one, and as time goes by, the original HP series will be departed from. I already had a bunch of stuff I could cross off the list for CoS. I am hoping to get it finished or at least close to this weekend. Then Monday I will be back to work on editing.
Right now, I am going to make my cups of tea, then I am getting to work. I have laundry, then Stormy will be with me today while I work.
As I mentioned to 4Padfoot earlier, I love Geico Commercials. *snicker*
So, this week has been interesting. From the 3 hour sleep I had yesterday due to this mischievous little adorable creature:
She decided that she wanted to see what happens when she sinks all the claws in her front paws into my thigh 3 hours after I fell asleep. Needless to say, I was awake. She got put into the office by herself for that stunt. By the way, you want to punish a cat? Put them in a room by themself. Even the SPCA suggests to do that if nothing else works. Yes, this one is pushing my limits, and I am reading to see what I can do to make it easier on all of us. Some works, some doesn’t and others I know better than them.
Again.. Fur Babies are just as bad as real babies. They just grow faster out of that stage, but to make up for it, they have teeth and/or claws. I am shocked I am not leaking blood like a pin cushion. I have been punctured enough for it.
So working is about impossible. Ask MamaKitty. She came in to work some on a program, and ended up leaving since Stormy decided that she was fresh blood.
What have I been doing? I am moving stories over to Better in Texas. The site is a little odd to get used to using, but let me tell you. The freaking support from the members is nothing to laugh at! They all jumped in to explain things when it took a bit to sink in. I will advise you to look into GeezerWench’s tutorials. They lead you step by step into working it.
Then the reviews and my stats! They pour out from that site to boost you up on your own sites. They bounce from site to site to read it, wheverever you post it. My Site, Fanfiction, TWCS, A03, and BetterInTexas.ning.com. They haven’t moved to Fanfiction Affliction, but then I haven’t linked to there yet either.
The guy who made the site, BetterInTexas, his family runs the site, and let me tell you, they are very helpful! They have limited amount of Categories, but they added True Blood. I am going to suggest they make it True Blood/SVM since they do have that limited thing going on. There is no need to spend a category when they can lump them in. And even though the author is a Twilight writer (and it is a he!) I am already getting hits on my fic.
And for those that know how to link with buttons or words? OMG. They love you. I have had more comments when they realized it. GeezerWEnch figured out how to do when I was sleeping, and she is going back to add them to her stories and so forth. If you need a tip on how to do it, I will be happy to let anyone know! It is simple once you realize what is going on. It was catching on in my mind that took a bit.
For those that are banner makers? They have a section just for that, as well as Video makers. They do a monthly newsletter, and also keep up with everything going on in the sites that they know of. They promote the heck out of their authors, so if you are a member, they will let their members know that you are nominated for an award. They had one person nominated for the Energizer awards, and they keep track of it and let the members know if you placed.

I am also editing the last of Dying to Start Again, and will be working on what I can. THe muse is being a pain not wanting to work on the novel until the other stuff is done. For those that jumped right in and am helping in the database, thank you so much! It is one thing I can let go of, and I am off to work the last of the edits. Then maybe I can work on the novel…
Yes, I am still alive and working. You will have a Harry Potter chapter this week on Friday. Then will come the hard part. Trying to decide if I can leave Sacred to work on more chapters of Harry so you guys can have more…
Ok.. I have been missing online since Friday. That is because we have a new addition to the Kittyinaz family.
It is way too small to determine if it is male or female for sure. M made the executive motion to her it a she, since that is his guess what it is. I was going to name her Smokey, but Stormy has been coming off my tongue after spending a couple days with her.
She is adorable, and you should see her with Connor. His head is bigger than her. And he is Papa Connor. He is watching over her, as well as being shocked when she comes up and bites him. He looks so shocked that you guys would fall over laughing. And he is keeping a healthy distance from her paws. Now, when I say that, remember the size difference, and you will laugh at how funny it is and keeping a safe distance is lifting his head out of her range. At least he thinks so, she can jump!
The first couple of days of owning any pet is very important to the bonds that they make. I am spending as much time as possible with her, and you can tell the difference. On the first night, she spent time with both M and I. Since that night, she has come to sleep by or on me each night. Since she is no bigger than my palm, well you get the idea.
Even though this is far from my first rodeo, she managed to get me all worried by not drinking. I slowly gave her 2% milk, then 1% then water. My mom laughed and said she would have been fine, but over 24 hrs without water worried me! And then was kitty litter training. I tried the professionals instructions, but when I did my version of them, it worked. Boo-ya! Follow my own instincts!
So it has been a very tired time. I swear. Anyone who tries to tell me pets are not children. Well you never get as involved with them as I do. Cause getting up in the middle of the night, check. Worrying about them? check. Trying to remember when you last got a full night of sleep? Check. Playing and attacking you when you are trying to read, check. And double check. Even a triple check. She likes the taste of the iPad I think.

Right now she is crying pitifully in the bedroom, as I give Connor and Murphy some time with mommy in the office. They are taking turns on being at my feet. Luckily they are curious more than anything right now.
I have two more chapters of Dying to Start to do, then Clocks. and then Best, before I start editing Sacred. No sex, at all, and I am close to chapter 30. This is slow moving, but I am trying to move it faster!
Hope to see you guys later with updates on chapters. All my plans were blown out by getting the kitten this past weekend, (She is 6 weeks old, but outside, so I was glad to have her!) so where I planned to work all weekend to be ready for her next weekend, well. Yeah.
Just to let you guys know, the week of June 21-28 will be me on vacation. My Mother in Law is coming into Houston for training. She is taking the whole week off to spend time with us, so I am not sure how much I will be online during that time. And of course, when I am on vacation, I tell my beta’s they are too.
C-ya guys later, I need to try to get things done before noon my time, so I can get the kitten out of the room, and in here so I can have some peace from her meowing. (Of course then I will have a kitten climbing up my leg.. but one thing at a time!)

I will admit, as I read them, I was all afire with the banners. The only bad thing, I couldn’t find the pics I imagined for Where it Began. But I did what I could with it and am pretty sure I did a pretty good job. The most complicated is Witch of the Woods. That cabin being added was many layers…. But I finally Got it to look like it belonged there. Eric’s eyes in A Brush with Death are amazing. I went through a couple of colors until I got one that looked awesome.
Just remember, I normally use my characters on the banners since I have tons of pictures for them. However, I used Anna because so many of you think of her as Sookie. Unless I have a banner where Elisha is better, I will try to use Sookie for you guys. Other than that. Nope. AS it is, because of In The End do I have so many pics of Anna.

I have no idea how the voting is set up. See…I am trying to get back into writing. I wrote 674 on my novel yesterday and that is abysmal for me! So I fell back on Sacred to get me writing, and while it took 4 hours, I did finally manage to get close to 2k words. This is not normal for me when I am writing. So I am going to get back into writing. I picked Sacred because the muse is still preening under 4Padfoot and Royal Ember’s comments.
I’m telling you. She reminds me each day more and more of a cat.

Now back to what I was saying, I wrote last night, and sent the chapters to Royal Ember and 4Padfoot. 4Padfoot is refusing to talk to me, going through Rissa to tell me the contest poll was ready. So… to get back into the good graces of my web admin and friend, I am off to write.
Which reminds me, please give a huge welcome to my newest team member, Royal Ember. She is my pre-reader. I never had someone who only pre-reads my fanfiction, but the benefits of being able to bounce ideas, to rage at someone and so forth as I write, is helping me out. Though she has pouted and done everything she can to change my mind on this fic on a couple points…

Last week had been another one of those weeks you were ready to fall on your knees thanking God to have gotten through. I would have literally done that, but my knees are not able to take that anymore. God I hate getting old!
I know I skipped a lot of updates last week, and sadly, it looks to be the same. The reasoning? I am a bad Author in communicating with Betas. One of my poor ladies thought what I wanted was no where close and she did a fantastic job with what little I told her. Sadly, it was so confusing for both of us we agreed to erase it and never talk about it ever again. Wait. Did that count as talking about it? umm… oops. Ignore all that… (strikes it all out)
And this past weekend? My muse ran away. Absolutely refused to do anything. She had pushed for When I Pretend, and to placate her, I went reading through it, making banners and so forth. I went to bed and she had disappeared in the morning. No coaxing her would work, so I threw my hands in the air, and went to read my close to 200 update emails. I am happy to say with reading non stop Saturday, Sunday and Monday night, I am down to 18. My OCD is happier, but I can see her tapping her toes, giving pointed looks towards the inbox. Those two need to get together and plan these things.
Oh, wait. That is what they did, isn’t it..
lol. Oh lordy. I am going crazy….
Now that close to 200 updates, that is with any updates to the story after that being deleted. So if there were 2 more chapters updated, I erased those 2 since I would get them when I read the one. This backlog happened after the last couple weeks. You can guess when I left online and ignored emails for awhile. So about 2 weeks worth of updates lets say? NOW do you understand why it is taking so long for the database, and we wanted, begged, pleaded on our knees and so forth for help? For me alone, there is so many stories!!! 650+ in Fanfiction alone. That is not the blogs, not the other places I read stories, just FanFiction. And I started to put only completed stories (unless I am personal friends with the author, then I will put their stories in there) since I came to the TB/SVM universe.
This is hanging over my head, but I am also working on blocking out my book. I have read it, and need to go back to check on some things, but I am about ready to start reading it. For the pre-readers, you should be getting a chapter this week. Get with Rissa, since you will not only need the passwords to the chapters, but how to get to it on the site. It is hidden thanks to 4Padfoot’s amazing skills.
As for the last month Writing Contest, I finished my end, we are just waiting for the polls to be set up, so check on your emails later tonight.
For the weekends, I am going to be trying to work on Fanfiction, if the freaking muse will cooperate. I still have chapters to edit, and Sacred is still getting pointed looks from it’s pre-readers. I really would like to finish it, so I am going to try to keep working on it.
Now, you guys will get an idea of how everything works, since I will be posting as I finish chapters for the book. As each chapter is posted, I will let them know. Then move on to the next. I am planning on Wednesdays or Thursdays to make any notes I need to then back to working. I do better working in spurts.
