See, I was having issues, and 4Padfoot came on and fixed them for me. But I hit publish one time, and said ‘F*ck it’. I wasn’t going to go around unpublishing it, so I let the group know, and waited for my meds to kick in.
As last we heard, everyone but Mr. Kittyinaz and I are sick in the house. So I am being very good and taking all my meds to make sure I am good, but they are a strong decongestant for the allergies from the poor plants that are actually flowering outside, thinking it is spring. Yes, the weather has screwed up with the plants too. I just hope we don’t have a freeze before the real spring hits… And I suspect Monday, when it will be in the 30’s again, will be a shock for them also.
Stupid Weather….
I have been working on switching my sleeping, and because of the meds, I am actually doing it. But this morning, I read a story in the HP universe that completely sapped my will to get up. Seriously. The story was awesome for nothing to happen in the end. I ended up reading more of kjwrit’s All In, before I remembered I had duties today as a chauffer. I even thought of wearing my hat that can pass as one. But my hair is cooperating, and who messes with a good hair day with a hat? Not me!
So I am up, waiting for 11 minutes to go by, and hoping I can finish the post before then.
Ok… There is no chapter tomorrow. I am working with my beta for Tin Man, and we are gunning for it to be done. I have found a new beta for the LOTR, but we will see what she ahs to say, though she has returned the first chapter to me, to prove she can do it. It was awesome.
Yes, I do have stories still pending betas. Yes, they are NOT TB/SVM. A lot are crossovers, because I like crossovers. But the end is coming before I go to the other side of my brain, and brush off the cobwebs to use it. Wish me luck when it comes!
I have no idea what is pending, since every time I think that everything is great, and I will be finished, RL throws a wrench in the spanners. I am trying, but hey, I don’t control everything…::thinks of the good she could do if she could…::

I decided to get back in the mood for the TB/SVM world, the same mood I was in when I started in this awesome fandom. I actually started in my Blog List, wanting to visit old haunts that I haven’t seen in awhile. The first on the list? Gabriella. She had a story I had read a lot of the beginning, but halfway through, I found I couldn’t remember the rest of the story. Score! A reread of a story that I didn’t know the ending of, it was completed as well being a HEA! See, I don’t do NonHEA, so if it is a rec of mine, it has a HEA. (more…)

I have to say I love working with my beta kbholtz. She has great questions. She is asking the ones that make you dive into the story, and try to find the answers. Luckily there is an invention of IMDb out there for me to look on for answers.
But if you are wondering what is going on, she is working on these back chapters, before she starts the new ones. The earlier chapters will be up, once I get the emails and put in the new Buttons.
So enjoy the chapter, and you can read ahead, just ignore any mistakes. If you do notice them, blame me. Always blame me. I’m the idiot who made the mistakes in the first place!
Once we get to the new stuff, I will be posting on Tuesdays. I will post on Tuesdays how far along we are on the other stuff, but this way you guys can look over the work this way.

It is my honor to host these contest and read these amazing stories. I love that not even I can tell who writes what, and some are often my betas! This time, without knowing who won what, I read the results from the golden envelope 4Padfoot gave me, and asked the betas, if we can do 4 places. You made your opinion clear, and we acted on it!! Yes.. There are 4 places… And there were over 200 votes!
Just so you know, Charissa is the one in charge of the entries, and giving me the stories, and then when I am ready for the names, gives me them for the banners. She gives them to me after 4Padfoot sends me the results. And they send them in separate Messages, so no one but I am the one to know everything at the end. Yeah complicated, but it works for it!

For those that were wondering where the chapters went, well HP is delayed until this week’s posting. When I tell you RL takes precedence, I am not kidding. The chapter is ready, but I will publish it Friday, and hope the beta in charge of the story has a chance to get better. My betas health is more important than getting chapters out.
Today’s was another instance. But the beta had it ready for me late yesterday, but I am not on the computer on Sundays. I will say that I cheered this chapter. Eric gets a haircut!! I have tons of pictures of him with short hair, but hardly any of him with the long hair as you guys could probably be able to tell. So from now on, I will be able to dip into my artsy side for the chapter banners.
As for where I am, I am working on Tin Man, which will probably go pretty quickly. Then I will be getting the rest of the stories out. It may a couple of weeks, but we will see the rest of the chapters come out from the betas. Hopefully, I will be working on the original story at that time.
Once I am done with the rough draft, I will be starting on the other stories, but there will be a short time until I undertake editing, my old way adding lots of stuff to it, and then I will have to figure out what to do with the finished thing. Well after the betas all get their hands on it. Yes, I am not taking a chance, and with all the wonderful betas I have, I am hoping that it will be pretty good.
As for personally, all I can say is that the weather. WE will be going from 76 yesterday to 30’s today. And for the next few days we will be cold, then warm up then repeat. Mamakitty has already gotten bronchitis from the wonderful weather and DadKitty is getting sick. ::knocking on wood:: that my hubby and I don’t catch it. Flu season has hit Houston badly, and it doesn’t look like the weather will be helping!
But I have a warm Connor on my feet, my fingerless gloves on, and I am working on staying healthy. I need to get to writing the new stuff for all our sakes!

Ok,, what else is going on? Oh yeah!! The banners were updated on this site with the chapters of stories that are or should be updating. (By the way did you know you can click on the banner and be taken to the cover page for the story? 4Padfoot is just that awesome!!!) I will be also changing the song (Since I am writing this on Sunday at about 1:30 am.. well you can see the mix up of tenses!) on the side to reflect the song on this chapter.
I did nothing as far as I know on Sunday for editing, I will probably still be reading the chapters and spending the time with family. There is talk of pedicures and so on.
I hate making this so short, but it is hard writing for the future. I wish I could write from the future to the past, I would give everyone the lottery numbers. After I got it and shared with my betas. Hey! They deserve it!!!
This chapter is moving forward with the hits. I chuckled all the way through reading it. And there is character advancement. And if no one has noticed, I have changed the Sookie. She is changing, it is mentioned a couple of times. But there is old Sookie (Anna Paquin) still there. It’s not easy to do this, I am NOT good at this stuff.

So today started off crappy. I was very upset, and had considered taking myself off Facebook completely. I decided to stay away instead, since I do more than sit on there, I run my group, and I chat with the Betas on it. It is how we talk and communicate.
See, I fucked up yesterday. I made a mistake and pissed off some very good friends. I don’t often make huge public apologies, cause let’s face it, I am of the species Homo Sapiens. And we don’t’ admit when we mess up often. But I did. So I apologized yesterday aka this morning, and I am doing it here, since my fuckup was on here.
But today, 4Padfoot was hitting the messenger, and I caught it once by accident, something about my video being worked on. I smiled, but went on reading What If so I can work on the edits, ignoring the Messenger while on my iPad. Then…She told me it was done.
I couldn’t stay away after that.
The Kittyinaz household only has myself and the pets home. And ironically, they are all here in the office while I worked. However, the dogs were running around earlier as I squealed, then squealed again and again as I watched the video. Anyone passing by may wonder what was going on. LOL!
Since my belief in the world is upright, and I am not kicking myself heavily for a mistake I made, I finished up the banner finally for Light up the Path. Seriously, this past week really has been bad with Drama, and last night was the last straw. I couldn’t make a banner for the chapter all week, and have some BAD examples of how badly they sucked that I promptly deleted once I made the one that worked. Oi Vey.
Before that mess up happened, I played with the site. I got the Amazon ads to run. Now here is some information… Off to the right, you will see a mp3 player. For now, this will showcase the song from every story current. Yes, that means when you go into the latest chapter for any story, the song snippet is there. If you decide to buy any from there, they can be added to iTunes or any place. And yes, it credits me. The ads also link to the product and give me credit. If you click on any and go from that spot to shopping, I get credit for the entire purchase.
Thank you all for your support during Christmas since it is going to be used to help the site. We are thinking about adding music for each chapter and so forth. I am also replacing the home page banners to reflect the current stories being updated. If you click on the banner showed, it will take you to the cover page for the fic. I am thinking of having contests to replace those banners on the Facebook Group. This time, I did them, but I am going to start a thread on the group, and Open it for others to showcase their talents.
I have also done away with the chapters on the side, since it was getting to be ludicrous. I am also looking for any suggestions. As for the ads, if you want space on the site, we can talk. Betas, as a thank you, get free advertising. I have thought about leaving doing a spot for donations, for those that don’t shop Amazon.
So where am I on the whole editing process? I have finished LoTR, and Game of Life. I am working on What If right now, and then I will be doing the following: Edge, (yes the sequel to Ed!!) Dying to Start Again, ITE, Clocks, Revelations, Tin Man, and Best. When I think I am done, I will be double checking all the documents, and making sure that there are no more chapters hidden up my sleeve. Everything will be sent to the Betas.
Then I will be taking a break to work on my database for the recs. I am participating in HisViks’s WordPress idea. I will be donating all the fics I have recommended once I get done adding them to the database. Well all the TB/SVM. I know many of you are wondering why am I doing it. See, I read. ALOT. And to update the Rec pages, was a lot of work. Since you guys hit it up so much, I wanted to make it easier to update. I also wanted to add the blog stories as well. It is a slow process now, but once it is done, it will be adding as I go. I also needed this to be done before awards come up.
As for the awards, well let me tell you, I have huge respect for anyone who does them!! You truly need to know the fandoms to do this. As much as I read True Blood and SVM, there were still some fics I never heard of nor the authors, and luckily someone in the group of ladies who did it, knew them. WE had planned to do it for all the fandoms that had vampires in it, but frankly, we ran out of time. I would love to do the other fandoms, but I don’t know Vampire Diaries enough, and need more than me for Twilight. I though of doing one for crossovers only, but again, need more than me.

For those that are not aware of how these started, I was asked in the Kittyinaz Facebook Group a lot of what I use for inspiration. I use four things. Listening to songs, Watching a YouTube Video (Which is basically the same thing but specific to fandoms), a picture, or a quote.
That is why I started this contest, to give the inspirations that I use to others, and give them a completely anonymous chance to see how their writing would be received. I seriously wish I had this type of opportunity. It is also great for the established writers, since we often run into writers block, and sometimes this can help jar us out of our rut. The fact that everyone is mixed together and presented with no idea of who wrote what, is a great equalizer. I have participated in contests for others, in fact, I make a point of trying for any of my betas who have contest. Unless I have nada. It happens. I will admit, I had NOTHING for Kelpie’s contest. I tried soo hard.
I try to rotate through the mediums that help me, and since December was Christmas carols, then, songs were used. Then last month, we had the picture you are voting on right now. This month. A Quote. I had two that I liked, and gave my betas the choice. Then I debated on two banners. So they decided on that too. So this was a group effort.
I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to host these! Knowing a lot of writers have told me they started here, and some newcomers beating some writers that you would be shocked on. These are open to all the fandoms I write in. Why only those? Because those are the fandoms that have brought so many readers to the site. I want to make sure you all get a chance. I will say I was thrilled to have a Alice 2009 entry for this month!!! I think I danced in my chair. I don’t often get to make banners with those people!
So please share this out in the void called Internet. This is open to all, the rules are on the page which you only have to click the banner to be taken to. Any questions can be sent to the emails or asked online. Someone is always checking those addresses and the betas and I are online.

I am late to things.. and can be blind as blind can be when I am focused on other things. Hey! I’m Human!!!
But to excuse my French, what the heck is going on?!?!?!?! I wake up to finally catch up on things after drama happening to my little group that had me concentrating on other things, and it seems like there is something going on that I don’t know about. Again, see above for blind notice. But if someone is being picked on, this is so wrong.
For instance. No one has probably ever read my first fanfiction. I cringed when I went back with a friend to redo it to send it to a fan who I love dearly. Due to health, she is not around as much, but she was the first fan who really cared about me, and I honor her all the time. Shoot, I published a story on my FanFiction of hers when her account was being attacked by people.
I also know how hard it is to press that post button for the first time on FanFiction or even WordPress. I’ve been there, and I panicked enough I cried thinking of how people were going to attack me. Yeah, I had a few bad experiences with another site and trying to publish there that put me behind a year on posting fiction. And you know what? I still panic slightly when I hit publish on a new story. And frankly, when I publish even new chapters. It will always be there. Even when I have an awesome group of betas who preread my stuff, and even when I tease stuff out. But it does get better. I got brave enough to start a brand new crossover.
But you know what? The people in this fandom, in my Alice 2009 fandom, and the others I write for, are some of the most awesome. But I have to admit that the TB/SVM fandom is the most supportive I know. Most of my betas are from there. Because of this, I suggested to make an award for the fandom. The turnout for this was amazing and beyond anything I ever dreamed of!!! The show and books are over, and we are one of the BIGGEST noncanon fandoms out there. Seriously. The canon pairings are not even really in the 10% range. Do you know how amazing this is??!?! And we… the readers and the writers, are responsible for this anomaly. I am so proud of us all. But then… We do have the Viking!! But to have a whole fandom majorly about a pairing that does not officially exist? Yeah. You guys rock. And I would think this would give you even more fuel to write the fiction we should have had. Or do what the rest of us do, use their mess-ups to make awesome stuff to read!! It’s personally my way to say F.U. to the ones who ignored us.
As for Banners… :snorts: Has anyone seen my originals? I thought they were the BOMB. And now I shake my head on it. And I am still playing on doing them. I learn, and I ask. I buy programs to teach me. And I do it to entertain myself and hopefully you guys too.
But the biggest teacher of all? It’s called experience. And you only get it when you take chances. I took a chance one day and wrote a chapter for Alice, and here we are today. My family does NOT support me, except my husband. He patiently sits and listens to me talk, he allows me to do this to get better so I can write a book, supporting me. My mom tries, but she likes different fandoms, and cannot understand what is going on, but she would be the last to say anything. But nobody else cares. They aggressively don’t care. It happens.
And flamers, trolls and so forth? Yeah. Ignore them. If they can’t say anything to you with their name, then they don’t deserve the time of your day. It hurts. Oh man, does it hurt when it comes in. But I have to decide if they are worth it. And frankly, if they can’t leave their name, then nope. They are attacking someone from the safety of sitting behind their electronic device. I’m most likely never going to meet them! If they can’t give me a name, then hell no do they get consideration.
I got a comment from someone disliking All I Want yesterday. But they signed in and told me. It’s their opinion. And I am frankly proud that they did it!
And for the fandom dying? That is up to everyone who reads this. I am not stopping writing. I have some new ones up my sleeve, I am working to finish some of the favorites. I do admit our fandom seems to be losing our greatests to outside reasons, and that saddens me. But for them to leave due to negativity? Well, if you are having that issue, I welcome you to come talk to me. I’m on Facebook almost everyday, and am more than happy to talk to you.
I have no problem in raising hell. I point to when a good friend of mine was getting her stories stolen. Yes, it was by the same person who tried to steal ED, but that was yanked very quickly out of her repertoire. Instead I went to bat for her. And I will do it for any friend of mine. It’s how I roll.
You guys as the fans, you make the difference. Not us writers. You. You decide if you are going to read the stuff, to keep encouraging writing. Think about it. If a writer wants to write, but no one reads, they get discouraged and often leave. If you are interested, most will keep writing. It’s just how it works. Not many people write and get nothing out of it. Unless you are me, and write because you like reading your own stories. Not many do!
So, again, I may be missing the point of this by a couple of miles, but this is what I am getting from all this. I am even doing this on my blog, which I am sorry, will not show up if you click on it. I will copy and paste this for the reblog. Shoot… I will reblog this and then blog it on my site. This is not something that should miss anyone.
And if any of you are the opnes putting down those souls that are willing to take that chance to share our inner selves with you, well…. All I can say is F.U.! When have you put yourself on the line for other to judge you?
