Feeling bad for not being able to get this done earlier, Wendy settles into her chair. She leans her head back, closing her eyes on the hell that has been the last couple of weeks.
Nothing had seemed to go right, and she is feeling run over with everything happening, but she lifts her head to look around her office. It may not be exactly what she imagined, but it looked pretty damn good if she had any say so.
Finally Connor has laid down and behaved, so she leans forward to get her computer ready for the interview with Damon.
As she brings everything up, she feels some hands suddenly rubbing her shoulders and a baritone voice telling her, “I thought we all agreed there will be no more stress, Stella?”
She smile as she hears him pouring her a fresh cup of tea and she watches as he takes her mom’s seat and scoots closer. He removes the letter holder she has in the middle of her monitors and lifts an eyebrow at her.
Sighing, she replies, “I know, I know. I am working on the Twilight fic, and for some reason it is flowing, but I have no energy for it. I was looking for concerts in my fair city for goodness sakes! I want to work on some other fics, but I said I would finish this one.”
Damon leans back and shakes his head. “Muses don’t always listen. But if it is flowing, and you want to get this one done, then do it. But, you need to write what you like. So, before you jump in and try to edit, which is not a process you like, finish up or work on some of the others.” He shrugs. “It will be better for all of us, and will exhaust the muse before you go and edit.”
She chuckles and shakes her head, then asks, “When did you get so smart?”
He grins at her. “Well, you lend me out to Ashley, and then I had all these wonderful one shots written about me, and you even finished one of the three stories on me. I know you have another one in the works, and then your dream from last night is bothering you, too.”
Wendy’s head hits the desk as he laughs at the cat who just woke up, and looks at her as she yawns from the printer, and Connor who stops with whatever he’s doing with his blanket. “Damon!!!”
“Yes, Stella?”
She huffs as she looks up at him as he leans on her desk. He tells her with a waggle of his eyebrows, “Oh, c’mon! You think that Karen won’t sniff it out?”
Sitting up, she sighs and then points over at the blackboard. “14, Damon. 14 open stories that need to be worked on. And then I had this dream, which by the way kept changing the leads around, and I don’t know who will be the stars. For God’s sake, it even had Hatter and Alice!!!”
He laughs, then comments, “And Godric and Bella, me and Bella, even an Eric and Bella, some of my Vampire Diaries comrades, like Elijah and Klaus. I tell you what, you put a vote at the end of this interview, the WordPress Whisperer can do that easily for you, and you let the fans vote on it. Let it sink around that head of yours, and then talk it over with the ladies. Maybe just write enough to stick it in future stories, and then you can write those 14 stories and come back to it. Is that workable, Stella?”
Rolling her eyes, she grudgingly acquiesces, “I guess it will be. I was pushing it back to the back of my head with all the other thousand stories I have back there. I really want to get to work on Aos Si so I can finish it, read the notes, and next time I edit, finish with that. It won’t be done any time soon to send out.”
He nods. “Sounds like a plan. Now stop stressing, drink more tea, and let’s get this over with so you can go back to writing and seeing whatever your WordPress Whisperer will come up for you to do tomorrow,” he teases her.
She nods, and then pulls up the last part of the process. While she is getting ready, he look around the room. “I like it. It is you. But aren’t you missing something?”
Looking at everything on her computer Wendy answers him, “My pictures and the boxes will be gotten next week, I am hoping. There are rumors of a printer being purchased since that one doesn’t seem to like my computer. I think a table is also rumored to be gotten for the printer since that one moves so much, but having a printer table is too handy.”
He shakes his head and watches as she types up some of the interview they have done so far. He chuckles and tells her, “No blaming me for typing up our conversation.”
She looks up at him, “I am correcting it. It types up what we said. Hook got a spell for me, and Niall cast it so that is one less thing.”
He throws his head back, “So nothing gets taken out of the interviews anymore?”
She gives him a look and then pointedly asks, “Are you ready?”
His face looks innocent as he mentions, “I’ve been ready. It’s not my fault we made some small talk before hand.”
Rolling her eyes, she tells him, “Now the facts, how many you want at a time?”
He lifts an eyebrow, “Vampire remember? So go ahead and list them off.”
“Full Name?”
He answers her, “Damon Salvatore.”
She shakes her head and he tells her, “Fire them off. We can get through it faster, and it will be over and we can talk about more interesting things.”
Rolling her eyes, “How is it you are worse than even Eric?”
He laughs but makes the sign to continue.
“Nicknames?”
“Lover, kick ass Vampire, Elemental Lord, Bella’s Mate, Wendy’s, do you wish for me to go on?”
“Job?”
He grins, “Right now, it seems to be pleasing my mate. But I normally work on the town council as the leader of it. I also try to make sure the vampires and the goings on in the town are not witnessed by the Council. It seems I will be also taking on more duties in the near future.”
Trying hard not to roll her eyes or sigh, Wendy asks the next one as he had requested, “Date of Birth?”
Damon now leans back in the chair with his hands behind his head as he tells her, “June 28, 1840.”
“Height, Hair Color and Eye color?”
He laughs, “Sly that! I like. I am 5’9”. Black, and blue.”
Wendy groans, “Build?”
He laughs, “Perfect.”
When she lifts an eyebrow, he defends himself. “Ok, fine. Eternal Stud. That better?”
“No. But then I have no idea how Bella deals with your shit when you’re like this.”
Damon leans forward and capturing her brown eyes with his own, “Because like you, she doesn’t take my shit. It’s what I love about you both. But at the same time, you both let me be playful, even if you are trying to hide it now.”
Rubbing her face, she sags down in her seat. Damon shakes his head. “You need to relax. How much longer for this story?”
She tells him from where her head is resting on the desk, “Weeks, if I keep going like I am. I need to just sit down and do it. But…”
He nods, looking off to the distance, “It’s flowing. It’s one you started when you were very sick, depressed and so on. You were in a different place, so it is harder for this one for you to get back into. The others are happy, have you sass in them. But not right now.” Shaking his head he looks back at her, “Let’s go, Stella. Let’s get this done. Then I will drag your reluctant muse back in here, and we will have some fun with her. I want to get done with this, I have some information coming in my story that I cannot wait for, though I am not happy about your plans for the next story.”
She nods, then looks up at the computer, “Significant other?”
He gets this look on his face, and he tells her, “The delectable Isabella Marie Swan.”
“Parents?”
He looks off, “Guiseppe Salvatore and Lady Serafinna Salvatore.”
She gives him a smile when he looks back and his look softens and she goes on, “Children?”
He snorts, “Children? None.”
“Best Friend?”
He stops and pauses. He thinks on it and finally answers, “It would be Bella of course. But I think I would have to name Klaus.”
Wendy grins and watches the screen; when it is caught up, she asks, “Enemies.”
Damon’s eyes grow dark. “Cullens. No matter what, I will kill Edward for what he tried to do to my Mate. There is also enemies coming up, but I can’t let those out of the bag yet. Or can I?”
Wendy laughs, “Mickael is known. And Katherine is hinted at. So yes.”
Damon smirks, “So then I am not in trouble with Miss Rissa for saying anything. So, what is next??”
“Tattoos?”
He wiggles his eyebrows, “None, but I am trying to talk Bella into one.”
Wendy sighs at him, then asks, “Scars?”
Damon loses the teasing, and he sighs, “Those I have. You don’t go through the Civil War unscathed. Nor live as long as I have without scars in my soul.”
Wendy nods, “I hate that one. I know there is a reason for it, but it gets more people agitated. Ah well, these aren’t my questions. The next one is Favorite Pastime?”
Damon leans forward cocking his head to the side. “Picking on people and drinking. Wait – what did you just say?”
Looking up, she replies, “I asked a question, which by the way, the next one is Mode of Transportation.”
He shakes his head no. “Camaro and our bubble thingie. But no, before that. What do you mean these are not your questions?”
Wendy’s head falls back on the chair. “Damon! These are the questions Robin and Karen put together. After this there are five questions from the group. I told you this when I called you!”
He shakes his head, “No, I thought I was answering your questions. Why do they ask all the questions? What about you?”
She lifts an eyebrow, “Cause you all live in my freaking head. These are for the others to know you, not me. I know you guys all too well. The questions are to let the others know more about you, and they are curious.”
He stares at her with those eyes of his. She meets him for stare, and after a few minutes, he huffs. Wendy grins. “I have cats and a stubborn dog and they all back off with the staring thing. You, my dear vampire, are not going to have me lose. Now, what is the issue Damon?”
He shakes his head. “I just feel like you don’t credit yourself. I know you don’t. But here is the deal. We get this done, you get this story done, and then you let yourself write whatever. Write the dream. Write the LOTR thing if you want, write your story, just don’t make it be work. You need to learn to let go of the “I need to do this for my fans” idea, and write what you want. You did it once, in AZ, now do it again.”
“Damon, I don’t need lectures right now. Please. I know all that, it’s not easy. Now can we please finish this interview that those fans of yours want???”
He waives his hand at her, and she struggles not to strangle him. “Weapon of choice?”
He wiggles his hand. “It works well to grab a heart and tear it out of someone’s chest. But lightning is going to be my weapon of choice against Cold Ones. I’m thinking of a way to make Bella’s circle of lightning continuously strike at a victim inside. Klaus has been thinking with me about new ways of using elements, too.”
She snorts at him. “Pets?”
He lifts an eyebrow, “Do brothers count?” At her head shakes he sighs, “How about Familiars?” When she tells him no on that too, “Then no. Wait… Witches?” When she laughs at him, he just sighs. “I tried!”
Still laughing at him, Wendy asks, “Best Childhood Memory?”
His eyes go distant, “It’s maybe not the best, but I remember a day, the last day in fact my mother could spend outside. I was playing in the garden with her, bringing her flowers, most of them weeds, but she didn’t care. She would give me a kiss each time, and I would run off on my little legs and bring her another to get another kiss.” He smiles fondly. “I haven’t thought about that for awhile. Thanks.”
She smiles, her eyes suspiciously bright as she blinks rapidly, and asks, “Best Teen Memory?”
He grins, “Playing football with Stefan. I loved him so much at the time, before he became this way, and it was one of our favorite ways to play.”
“Best Adult Memory?”
“The day I met Bella. She drove me nuts, but it is the best day in the world. Each day gets better, but if I have to pick a day, it would be that one.”
Reading the next one, she asks and answers for him, “Favorite scent, let me guess – Bella?”
He cocks his eyebrow and smirks. “Nothing better in my mind.”
“At some point one of you guys is going to say something else and blow my mind. Seriously. “
He rolls his eyes and asks, “Next?”
She laughs when she gets to the next one, “What is your favorite movie of all time?”
He blinks at her. Then laughs. “Favorite movie of all time. A real one, not the ones I used to get the ‘sorority girl’s as Bella calls them to make?”
She lifts an eyebrow, ‘What do you think?”
He takes a deep breath, his brow furrowed as he thinks through the movies he has seen. Then the smirk comes. “The Thomas Crown Affair. The movie is brilliant.”
She looks at him, and after thinking briefly, responds, “Is that the one where he stole a painting, fell in love with the lady who was sent to find out who did it, and vows to replace it?”
He nods. “And it was brilliant.”
She shakes her head, changing a couple words and then asks, “If you could vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go?”
He laughs. “Barbados. I want to take Bella there and be able to do all sorts of naughty things to her in the water, on the beach…“
Laughingly Wendy interrupts him, “This is not rated M, Mr. Salvatore. So.. That is enough on that. The next question is, how do you spend your days?”
He snorts. “In the interest of staying innocent, I fuck the loving shit out of my mate, then deal with the crap we have to deal with to survive, then go back to fucking her. And if you ask about the nights, that is when I make love to her, then fuck her, then make love to her, and repeat until she passes out. Blunt enough?”
Wendy spits out the tea she was drinking through her nose, and then puts her head down. Thankfully Damon had anticipated this reaction and had her mess cleaned up before she did so, laughing as she tells herself, “They voted for him, they voted for him. This will be the last time you have to deal with him like this.”
He chuckles. “Well, my dear, you need to write the other two parts of our story. Then I will be always here since you love to write about me….” And he just laughs as she bangs her head against the desk.
When she calms down, she tells him, “Last of the stock questions. What if your Life… You know what. I can guess. It will have to do with Bella and making love to her. Right? That is your goal in life.”
He starts laughing, leaning back in the chair. “This is fun. We need to do this again.”
She lifts an eyebrow, “You have five more questions to answer so stay right there, Buster.”
She pulls up the questions, then reads off, “Becky wants to know what your favorite memory of Bella is.”
He leans forward, “The real one, or one I will make up to make it clean for the group?”
“CLEAN!”
He sighs. “When she was sitting outside contemplating. The grass, the flowers around her, it just showcased her love for life. That would be my third favorite. The other two being when-“
“Damon!”
Bringing herself under control, she mutters, “Only four more. Rissa wants to know what was it like to not only find your mate, but then to find out exactly who and what she is.”
He leans back thinking, then answers, “It was…still is amazing. I have gone so long thinking my worth was in rescuing Katherine, then having that shattered, it was heartbreaking. Then thinking myself falling in love with Elena, I just accepted it, knowing I was not to win. I have given up. Then this woman breezes into town and throws my life into.. hell I don’t know. Corkscrews doesn’t sum it up. Everything has been turned around and I would never take a second back of my life. Then finding out this awesome, breathtaking woman is mine? There are no words. I thank her and God every second of my life for her.”
She lifts an eyebrow. “That was… deep for how seriously you been taking this.”
He smiles serenely. “It was moving. Truly. Once you meet your mate, there is no going back. Ask any man, and he will answer the same thing. Now next?”
She shakes her head, “Karen wants to know how you’ve changed (personality-wise, emotionally, etc.) between when you were first changed and now.” She snorts.
He laughs, “Not at all. Except I can be myself around Bella and more people. I can let the inner romantic as Bella calls it out. But as you can tell from this interview, not much else has changed.” Then he laughs. “Tell Ashley and Karen that they don’t have to make secret handshakes for the club. I don’t mind. The more the merrier!”
Wendy bangs her head against the desk. “I told them not to say anything until I was done. But no. They couldn’t wait.”
He sits there with his legs crossed as he watches Wendy with laughter in his eyes, glad she is loosening up.
From her spot on the desk she just tell him, “Karen asks the next one too: If he could add a(nother) superpower to his skill set, what would he choose?”
He laughs, “C’mon Wendy – I’m awesome. They know it, too. What else can I add to my skill set as she calls it? I’m already well pleasing my mate, so…” When she moans he chuckles, “No, not when Bella is endlessly coming up with ways to add to our powers. The ways she has thought of using them has blown my mind.”
She sighs. “Last one. Megan ask: How great is it that after so long you finally find love and a family?”
He swallows. “It is amazing. Truly. I know Stefan is here, but he has not looked at me as a brother, no matter how long I have spent cleaning up after him. But to have a family building itself around my Bella, it is amazing. I will kill for any of them, and have.”
Then he straightens up, “Now, we are done here, are we not?” When she nods to him, guardedly, he clasps his hands together and stands up. “Since we are done, it is time to talk, my dear. We need to talk about how you need to take better care of yourself.” He tugs her out of the chair, and throwing an arm around her, he proceeds to talk to her as they walk out of the range of the microphone. “I am thinking you need to work on your stuff, and stuff those that keep asking for story updates … do… ever… Are…”
Settling down after finishing another story, Wendy looks around her in-laws place, finally relaxed and happy. She had been driving herself kinda hard, writing a new story, then finishing a one shot, then finishing You’re.
Now she has found another one shot to be finished today, and this interview. Then she will be off to finish Aos Si, nervous as hell about the process of getting get it published after everyone gets done with it, no idea where to even start.
After that, she will be giving in to MamaKitty’s request to write down a story that she told her to keep her from being bored when she was stuck in one place after her surgery. That’s a lot of stuff. Plus her new year resolution is to finish stories before moving on to another one, so she is planning to finish some of the older stories.
Somehow during all of this she needs to find time to edit. Even with all this, she is happy. She has started already in working on her new year resolutions, to be healthier for herself and Connor.
She starts when there is a knock on the door, and she is soon opening the door to Eric. She grins even bigger looking at him. “Hi! Please come on in, Eric!”
He comes in and gives her a hug, grinning down at her, “You look much better, seems the country agrees with you.”
She grins and signifying the views all around them, “Can you blame me? There is nothing like watching mountains. I grew up in Tucson and was used to them being around me all the time. They are kinda soothing; you know you are pretty safe with them all around. And the views? Change minute by minute.”
Eric chuckles. “True! I hear you also got to watch it snow?” He loves the laugh, twinkle in her eye something he had seen little of after the last couple of years. It had slowly died last year, too many losses in much too short of a time, and then again, around the same time this year she was buffered with shocks and pain all over as she helped her mother battle cancer, her finding out how much more at risk she is, and then her dad dying, as well as one of her beloved writers. They all watched her slowly shut down, and he was glad Marty had taken her away from it all, bringing one of the good things, Connor, with them as they drove out here. The look on her face and how she is showed the difference, as well as allowing her to be much clearer in mind and writing so much.
Wendy’s eyes glow as she excitedly tells him, “It did!!! It was amazing, I got to watch it snow on the mountains, and then again when we did Christmas shopping. Too bad it hasn’t done it again, but I have hope that it may do it in Houston. They have had colder weather all day than we have, we warm up to the high 60’s, low 70’s from the low 30’s in the morning. Desert weather, you just gotta love it.”
He watches her with a grin. “I am happy that you have cheered up so much. I know you have more to do, and I don’t want to take up too much time. If I remember it correctly from what you have told me, you have a series of questions that you ask all of us, then up to five questions from your fans?”
She nods, as she heads over to the table she has set up. On it is her iPad with the gift from her in laws, a blue tooth built in keyboard to her case. She is thrilled since she will be able to use her iPad as a writing tool when she is unable to take her laptop because of the size.
Eric just laughs as she settles down, knowing she is thrilled to have so much going for her.
As she settles, she opens everything up and opening the tab that has the questions, she tells Eric, “Yep. I am trying to memorize these questions, and I am getting pretty good when I see them, but hopefully I won’t have to keep referring to them.”
He chuckles as he settles, and when Connor comes up to him, he dodges the very well known blow to the private areas, and soon is sitting there chuckling at the too-large lap dog, but Connor adores him, and he is one of the few who are as tall as Marty and will play with him much the same way.
She pours herself a cup of tea, and offers him a cup, which he denies with a laugh. Settled down she lifts an eyebrow, “Ready?”
His grin grows larger, “I’ve been ready, waiting on you, milady!”
“Ok, smart ass, what is your full name?”
Amused by her, he tells her, “Eric the Northman. That is the name I use now, I was born Erik Johan Hjalmar. My last name, well, it is lost to time, and there is no reason to allow anyone to know about it. I have an enemy who has searched out my line to kill, and I have no intention on allowing him that chance.”
Wendy nods, “I don’t blame you. Ok the next two, I will ask at the same time. Do you have any nicknames, and what is your Job?”
He grins, “The Northman, Viking. There are others, but I am too polite to mention them. As for my job, I am the vampire sheriff of Area 5 in Northern Louisiana, and I am named Godric’s second.”
Taking a sip of her tea as she types in the answers, she then asks, “Date of Birth, Height, Hair and Eye Color and lastly, Build.”
Lifting an eyebrow, “Robin?”
She nods, “And Karen. It’s for your bio page. And why I just give them in a huge spurt.”
Shaking his head, he pets Connor who is still in his lap, “I am not sure of my date of birth, I know it is in 900 approximately, Godric and I both spent some time trying to track down our origins when we were bored once. As for the height, in American I am 6’4”. I have blue eyes and blond hair, as most Vikings. As for my build, I would say perfect?” At her laugh, he tells her, “Seriously, I guess a warriors’ build? I have been a warrior since I was twelve years old, which in my time was considered an adult.”
Wendy quickly types it up, and when done, she looks up and asks, “Significant other?”
He sighs and looks out the window, “For this interview, knowing as I do what is going on, I will say no. But there is a great hope to have what my sister and Maker both have.”
She smiles at him, and tells him, “I am writing!!! Give me some time; there are a lot of readers waiting for stories. I will have the next one done as soon as I am done writing the one for my mom. I planned on getting to it sooner, but things are coming up, and I don’t want to lose the story.”
He laughs, “I have no trouble allowing you to do what you need to. I think it is better for you and your readers to allow you the time to write. They get a lot of bonuses, as they will not have a pause in the publishing, and if something happens, Freyja’s blessings on you, there is at least the unedited version.”
She sighs, “Yep. I just feel bad for not finishing them all at once.”
He laughs, “Then you need all those clones you and your betas talk about all the time.”
She nods as she chuckles with him. “Continuing. Parents and Children?”
Eric’s eyes grow misty, “Parents were Ulfrik and Astrid. No children.” The last is said with a flat tone of voice, letting her know there will be nothing more said.
She takes a deep breathe, seeing as she often does why her characters can be badasses. “Best friend?
This cheers Eric up as he promptly answers, “Godric and Bella. As well as Andrew, and the Whitlock coven. This past year has gained me many friends, but Godric and Bella will remain my closest.”
She makes a note, smiling, knowing more than he does, and since she hasn’t written it, he will remain in the dark as well as the rest of them. “Enemies?”
He growls. “Edward Cullen is one I will love to get my hands on.” Then a grin comes across his face, “Unless Bella’s blood kills him first, that would be fitting. But I really want to take a piece out of him and the rest of that coven. Also the man who killed my human family. I need to find him before he can hurt my sister.”
She looks up and staring in his eyes, sees the complete sincerity in them. “It will all work out, Eric. When do I not fix it all?”
He laughs. “Next?”
She looks at the lists and sighs, “Tattoos or scars?”
He shakes his head at the questions, “No tattoos, and only the scar from when I made the oath with Bella as her brother.”
She smiles at him, then asks, “Favorite Pastime?”
He settles as Connor jumps down to get a toy, bored. “I take it we are getting into the fan questions?”
She grins, “Yep.”
He thinks on it, “Spending time with my Maker and sister. The time alone with them is indescribable. Being able to sink into the bond we all share, it seems to center us and we just work on whatever, or in Godric’s case a lot of the time, just being there.”
She nods, making the notes on the iPad, then asks, “Favorite Mode of Transportation?”
He laughs, “I love flying, but its driving my Corvette that I truly love. I spend a lot of my time flying to Dallas and back cause of how much quicker it is, but I love to be able to take the Vette out just to drive.”
“Weapon of Choice?”
He lifts an eyebrow, but then answers, “It used to be my sword, and if we are in a general melee it still would be, but since I am able to use my fangs so much better now, I love using it against the Cullens. Time will tell, it’s kinda like a kid with a new toy, I am enjoying being able to destroy people without using a weapon.”
“Interesting..” she mutters as she puts in the information. Thinking she needs to make herself a form for next time, it will make the interview process easier.
“Do you have any pets?”
He laughs as he is playing tug of war with Connor, “Does he count?”
Laughing, “Nope, he is considered mine and the site’s mascot.”
His eyes bright as he answers her as he throws the toy he just won from Connor, “Then no.”
She looks at the next ones and tells him, “Okay, Best Childhood, Teen and Adult memory?”
He snorts. “Best Childhood, when I was younger, I loved to play by the Northern Sea. Oft times it would be too cold to swim in, but I loved the sound and smell of it. The Best Teen memory is when I was made an adult and allowed to go aviking. And the Best Adult? So far when Bella and I became siblings. It is not often you are blessed by your patron goddess.”
She laughs when he mentions the last in a proud voice. “We have six left, before the five from the group. What is your favorite scent?”
He smiles, “The North Sea is my favorite memory, the smell of my sister, knowing she will always be there. But for now, there is really nothing that stands out as a favorite.”
“Here is the one that has stumped previous interviewees. What is your favorite movie?”
He grins. “That is one I didn’t anticipate. Hmm. That is a harder one. I like ones that you have to figure it out, and I love action films. I have more favorite moments. But I would have to say, I do like the reboot of the Star Trek films. I was around for the first shows, and they had taken everyone by surprise by the genius behind them. I was enthralled. Then when the movies came out, I watched them all. So this reboot is a way to revisit some old friends, while not knowing all that is going to happen.”
She notes it, surprised as always by the answer. None of the people answering this one ever answers what she expects. “If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would you go?”
He smiles, “Dallas. You have no idea how much I love being around my sister. I spent a very long time missing my baby sister and regretting her loss of life. I cannot explain it, but it feels as though Bella is that potential. And I love seeing how she handles it all. She has blossomed since we found her in that sleepy town.”
She smirks, asking him, “How do you spend your Days? Nights?”
He laughs. “The days are spent with Peter and Charlotte, either working or goofing off. Not having to hide the fact I am a daywalker is a blessing, since I can do whatever I want. I tend to rest in the day if it is needed, since my vassals are still nightwalkers. I tend to work more then also. Nights are used visiting areas, I am making my way around to all the parishes and townships to make sure the supernatural are ready for the reveal.”
She sighs, “Last one of these. Life’s Aspiration?”
He immediately answers, “To take care of what is Mine. To defend them, and to never let them doubt that I love them. I have found out that to answer the pull is everything, and I regret not listening to my Maker when he tried to explain it. So I am set on making sure that I protect those who may have been harmed by me not listening.” And then he levels a look at Wendy, and she nods at him.
She then sighs, flipping through the tabs to find the post on the questions. “You ready for these? We will start from the top choice and work our way down. I had to make a choice on the last one…” She trails off.
He nods and leans forward to listen to what the fans wanted to know from him. He is eager to find out what they are curious on.
“The most popular question is from Karen Meridian: How do you feel about your Maker suddenly finding his Mate after so long, and does it give you hope toward finding your own Mate?”
He grins, “It makes me very happy since he is Mated to my sister, and I now he will treat her the best he can. And it does give me hope that I can find my own Mate. Until then, they allow me to share in the feeling of being whole when I am around them, so I can wait a lot more patiently.” He is clasping his hands around each other, enthused by the line of questioning.
She looks at the next, and just asks it, “Sharon Whom asks, Can you please wish my wifey a Happy Birthday for the 19th?”
Eric looks taken back, “This is one of the five questions they wanted to know?”
She nods, waiting.
He sighs, and leans back. “I guess I can wish her wifey Happy Birthday. But I would also wish the rest of your ladies a Happy Birthday too. Since this will be up for them to read later, correct?” At her nod, he smiles.
She looks down, and tells him, “The next two are from Karen Meridian. The first is, how do you see yourself spending your free time now that things have calmed down between your Maker and your sister?”
He smiles, happy to answer another question about the two beings he loves. “As much as possible with them. She is going to need a lot of blood, for one. And Godric just won’t be able to keep up with her demand alone. So I will be there to help him. I also look forward to teaching her as much as I can on our traditions, bringing them up in her head. Seems since the change, she can reach the information more readily, but not if someone doesn’t remind her. So I am going to spend a lot of time reminding her of our past, the past that she is now part of thanks to Freyja.” Then he grins, “The second question?”
She grins back at him, “You don’t seem to have paid all that much attention to Pam since all this excitement began. How do you think she’s handling being third in your life after your Maker and your now sister?”
He sits back, unhappy. “Good question, but how to explain it? There are hints in the story that there are other things happening that would answer that question, but I cannot give away too many hints. Lets’s just say there is a reason why, and that I finally learned my lesson. And I don’t think she is liking being pushed to being the third important being in my life. And I expect I will be having her act out on me on it.” He growls out at the thought.
Wendy just lifts an eyebrow at him and makes note of his answer. “Final question, and you can get yourself back to cold Dallas. The lady who does a great job with our food blog, Megan Amster, asks the final question: what was it like to finally be able to walk around during the day for the first time in a thousand years?”
He smiles, eyes closing remembering that first moment, “Amazing. Nothing like it. The feel of sun on my face then body for the first time in a thousand years was unbelievable. I make it a part of my day to watch each and every sunrise and sunset. When you haven’t seen it with your naked eyes in such a long time, it is something you too would make sure to watch. I often stop and close my eyes when I am out and about in the day, thanking my sister and the Goddess for the gift. One of my best memories so far was the day we goofed off and just skateboarded and enjoyed the sun. I look forward to many more memories of such type.”
She sighs as she types the last of it. “All done!”
He laughs, then rising to his feet, and giving her a hand up, he tells her seriously, “Take care. Keep up the exercise, it will hopefully not allow the stress to get hold of you so badly again. Also, tell your mother that I wish her good health.”
Wendy smiles up at him and nods. “I look forward to running again. And Connor? Oh man will it be nice. Yesterday was so calm with him tired out. Have a safe trip back, Eric.”
She opens the door, letting him out. He grins at her, telling her, “I do look forward to the next story.”
Laughing, she watches him take off. When he is over the mountains, she turns back and sighs at Connor who is looking forlorn. “Daddy is off golfing and will be back soon. You just have to wait.” Then she head in to write this up and send it off to the ladies to do their magic.
Sitting down with a slight sense of relief, Wendy gets ready for this month’s interview. While she is doing this, she is also making a post about how to make lasagna for the Food Blog that she is in the middle of creating. The sauce is great and all done, but now comes boiling the big huge pot of water, and since a watched pot never boils, this is the best thing she can think of to do to make the time go by.
She grabs her iPad with the list of questions that Robin has posted on its own page in the Kittyinaz site, and she smiles remembering Karen’s gentle reminder that she is not to edit. She is to write up the interview and then send it to them…but: no editing on this.
She chuckles as she remembers that Godric had been happy to be chosen for the interview, and how he laughed that he won over the stories.
So when the knock sounded, she got up and answered the door to a very polite but grinning Godric. He kissed her hand as she invites him in, and he gets down on the floor to greet and play with Connor.
Wendy chuckles as she asks him, “Do you want anything to drink?”
He looks up from rubbing Connor’s belly. “Nope, and if I do, I would get it from where you so graciously keep the drinks for all of us.”
Laughing, she nods and asks, “Are you going to play with Connor or do the interview?”
He grins as he looks up, “Both. This is not the first time I have been here, nor will it be for any of your characters, so I have decided to be myself here. Connor and I like to play.” The mischievousness in his face is one she has to laugh at.
“Fine. Here is the deal, you won the interview from the ladies in the Facebook group, and they have some questions after the standard questionnaire is finished. Don’t worry about editing your words; Karen and Rissa will be doing that after we are done.”
He nods, then grabs the toy from Connor and throws it. “Please proceed. I can smell you are cooking something, and I will not want to cause you to be late in your dinner. It smells like something my Sookie would enjoy.”
Wendy can’t help but laugh. “Could be. Ok, they want your full name.”
He smiles. “Godric Nervii SohndesTodes.”
She looks up, “Sondetoades?”
He laughs. “It’s Son of Death in my language. My true name.”
She nods, and jots the answer down. “Any nicknames?”
He answers her as he throws the toy again, “Aingeal anBháis, or as most people would call me in English nowadays, the Angel of Death.”
She shakes her head. “A lot of Death there.”
He grins at her. “Being the Son of Death will do that to one. And back in my days, there was no reason to hide who my father is.”
“What is your Job?” Wendy asks him moving on to the next question.
“Right now, it is currently being Sheriff of Area Nine.” He laughs as Connor slides to a stop in front of him, and he grabs the toy to throw it again.
Wendy, laughing at the two playing, asks him, “I am just going to ask the next few questions all at once: What is your Date of Birth, Height, Hair Color, Eye Color and Build?”
He looks up and just asks, “Rissa?”
She shakes her head, “Nope… Karen and Robin came up with these. It’s for the site page they’re going to do on you.”
He sighs, then gets up to sit down, laughing at the tired puppy who wants his attention still. “I was born in the 1st Century BC. I think in the winter. My height is 1.73m, or as you American’s call it, 5’8”. My hair is brown. And my eye color is blue and my build, I guess it’s athletic?” He frowns. “How does one decide what build they have?”
Wendy shakes her head. “I have no idea. I’m just here to conduct the interviews. At least you’re not as bad as Niall was.”
He laughs. “I can just imagine how bad Niall was.”
Nodding, as she looks over the questions. Then she laughs, “Significant other?”
He grins, his eyes reflecting his love for them, “Sookie and Eric.”
She grins back at him. “Parents?”
He grins even wider, “Hades is my father. My mother passed when I was born.” He hesitates. “Sadly, I do not remember enough about her to tell you her name. She was a handmaiden to my father.”
Wendy looks at him and then nods, seeing the pain in his eyes.
“Children?”
He smiles. “Eric. And soon Sookie. For children I had with my body? None. Sookie was taken from me before we could have children.” The last is said with a hint of the pain, but he is settled, having dealt with that pain just recently.
“Who is your best friend?” She looks up at him, wondering herself.
He grins to her, “My mates. They are my lovers, my best friends, and everything to me.”
She looks down and asks the next question. “Enemies?”
He growls. “Those that oppose us. Right now Bill Compton is a tool, and we need to see who else is behind him. We also need to find out who the person in the black cloak in my vision is. That is our enemy.”
Wendy laughs at the next one. “Tattoos?”
He too laughs. “There are my tattoos from being human, the serpent on my back, the marks of my chieftainship, the mark from my father touching me for the first time. You also have the bands telling of my accomplishments, which once the three of us are mated, I will add another band with the runes to tell about it. As well as my rank in the tribe with the marks on the other side. But then there is the mark of Mating.”
Wendy Laughs. “A lot of tattoos! Any Scars?”
Godric shakes his head. “Nope, they heal as you know.”
Sniffing the air, Wendy sighs. “Godric, would you mind if we take a quick break? I have the lasagna to finish and the water is boiling. I need to finish the food blog tutorial on how to assemble the dish.”
He looks up with interest. “May I watch?”
Wendy nods. They head to the kitchen, and soon Godric is helping her pull noodles out into the ice bath and asking questions as she assembles everything. They are soon laughing as he helps her clean up, and when she is busily pulling out the first pan of lasagna.
Giggling, Wendy tells him, “If you would just stop making me laugh, I can take these pictures without the shaking from me giggling.”
Godric grins. “At least now I can make my Mate food, and teach Eric something.”
Heading back to their chairs Wendy raises an eyebrow. “Teaching Eric something?”
He nods as they settle back in their chairs. “Eric is seen as my Child, which he is, but it is hard for others to see him as otherwise when they have no idea that he is my Mate along with Sookie. But then, it was hard for me to accept it, also. I just had…a wakeup call, I think you call it. Eric is as much our Mate as Sookie is. Eric is not here to fix problems, well, other than the fact that he was missing. But it’s not as though he is needed to fix us; we were missing him from the beginning. I wonder often how interesting it will be when it is exposed that Eric is my Mate, as well Sookie being Mated to both of us. It will be interesting….”
Wendy nods, and notes the answer. She has a funny feeling it is something that the readers will be interested in knowing.
She reads through the interview and tells him, “We don’t much longer until we get past the standard questions. The next one is: What is your favorite pastime?”
He settles himself. “Spending time with my Mates. We haven’t had the chance until lately to be with each other much, so it is a joy. Other than that, there is many a night you will find us all reading, or planning or even wondering what the future will hold for us. You will find us a lot like you.” He smiles, “Lately, Eric and I are enjoying finding jewelry for our little one. And getting one over Bill Compton is actually fun for us.”
Laughing, Wendy comments to him, “You will enjoy it when you can get your revenge on him.”
He grins , and Wendy can’t help but shudder at the look on his face.
She looks down, and asks, “What is your favorite mode of transportation?”
He laughs. “Flying, but then I do love my motorcycles. I have not been able to indulge myself, since I left them all in Dallas, but I do enjoy being able to take off on them. Often Sookie comes with me, enjoying it also. It is what you call a bonding experience?”
Nodding her head with a wink, she asks him, “What is your weapon of choice?”
His face gets dark, and he tells her, “My hands, or invoking my persona of the Angel of Death. But I like to get personal with my enemies.”
She raises an eyebrow, shocked at the answer. “O-kay. Umm… any pets?”
He laughs. “Does Bill Compton count?” When Wendy shakes her head no, he answers her, “No, not at this time. Maybe later.” With that he pets Connor who is lying next to him.
“What is your best childhood memory?”
The smile on his face is one that any woman would love to see. “When I met Galiena, or Sookie, for the first time. We had been playing in the forest, and I had wondered afar from the boys’ camp, and saw her picking berries, the sun was shining down on her, and at that second, I knew she was mine.”
She smiles at him, loving how he loves Sookie. “Best teen memory?”
He quirks an eyebrow. “Depends on how you see it. If you take it by today’s standards, it would be when my father joined Galiena and me. Or when I earned my chieftainship. But for me? It was when I won the competitions allowing me to leave the boys’ camp.”
Nodding as she makes note of his answer, she commented, “It is hard when our standards of age differ isn’t it?
He nods. “I was treated by so many before the Revelation as a child. It is one of the perks I enjoy about the Revelation.”
She sighs, “Then what would be what you consider your best adult memory?”
He grins at her little remark and answers her, “When our marks began to show. Then our Mating will take over that when it happens. I am eager for that to happen and to be one with my Mates.”
She shakes her head as she gets to the next one, “What is your favorite scent?”
He gets that mischievous look to his face, “The scent of my Mates when we have all been together. There is nothing like it in the world. The three of our scents so mixed you cannot tell who is who.”
Rolling her eyes. “You sound like Karen and Sharon answering that one.” She laughs out loud.
He just grins at her.
She tells him, “Five more before we get to the five questions from the group. What is your favorite movie of all time?”
He leans back as he thinks about it. “I really liked The Sixth Sense. I figured out early what was going on, but it was still a well thought out movie. It was one that there was a chance you would get it early or not. I appreciated how the whole thing played out and while there were clues, there was nothing obvious to shout out that he was dead. Nothing. I also enjoyed Clue. It was a funny movie, and I saw it when it came out. Then I took one of my nest mates to see it. And the ending was different! It was a surprise to have different endings at random times. I loved it and ended up seeing it often to see all the endings. And they all worked!”
“If you could vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go?” She was interested in this one.
He shakes his head. “The earlier questions were much easier. But where…” He taps his fingers on the seat as he thinks. “I think my favorite place would be home. If I could take Eric and Sookie back to my home, I would love it. The times were different, and I just would love to sit at the fire looking out on the stars and listen to the tribe telling the tales with both of them there.”
She cannot help but snort when she read the next question. “How do you spend your days and nights?”
He laughs. “Well, tell them to read ITE and they can tell from there. Seriously, we need to have you jump some days, Wendy.”
She lifts an eyebrow at him, “You want that to be your official answer for those two questions?”
He nods. “It’s true!”
Shaking her head, “Last one of the agreed upon questions: What is your life aspiration?”
His look sobers. “To be with my Mates without having to worry about either of them. I am tired of the constant fighting and worrying that we seem to be doing. So I would like to have all this end, in a good way of course.”
She shakes her head. “Well, hold on, Sharon had made a note of all the questions since I was checked out mentally when the contest ended. So, let’s see….”
She sighs, then asks him, “From Leigh Warner: Is there one thing you will never do in your existence, and what would you do if Sookie asked you to do that thing you swore to yourself you would never do?”
He lifted an eyebrow. “Just Sookie, not Eric too?”
She looks back over the question. “They specifically said Sookie.”
He sighs. “There is nothing different to me about the two of them now. And is there one thing I would never do? Yes, kill my Mates, and I will still refuse if one of them asked me to do it. Though I accidentally came close to killing them both by my own stubbornness. It taught me what is important.”
She smiles at him reassuringly. Then she laughs. “Your Karen asked: Considering how you feel about vampires, humans, society, and life in general today (tonight), barring story lines, would you choose to create another Child?”
He muses on it. “She means if I didn’t make Sookie?”
Wendy thinks about it. “I will ask her to clarify when she reads this, but I think she means if it weren’t for Sookie being your Mate and the need you have for her to be your Child, would you change another person?”
Karen pipes in from stage left: “To clarify my question, barring Sookie who you will definitely turn anyway, would you choose to create another Child considering how you feel about vampires, humans, society, and life in general?”
He leans back and, steepling his fingers together, thinks about the question. “Yes. I think if I feel the pull to another child, or even met someone who would deserve the honor of it, I would. But it is hard for me to think on this since I have known for the last 20 years that I was going to change my Sookie.”
(Karen exits stage left.)
She nods. Then she looks down and laughs. “Sharon has the next two questions. The first one is: Knowing what you know now of your life, etc,, would you change anything knowing that as painful as losing Sookie was, if it hadn’t happened your life would have taken a different path?”
He lifts an eyebrow. “These are excellent questions. “
Wendy mutters, “Tell me about it. I was not looking forward to this interview.”
Godric cannot help but laugh at her, as he thinks over Sharon’s questions. “Poor, poor Wendy, having to ask such hard questions.” He pauses. “But…would I change anything? Not now. Not knowing what I know now. Everything needed to happen the way it did to cause “now” to exist. But that is a good question. I have learned not to mess with the fates.”
She smiles at him. “Good answer! Here is the next one for you to suffer through. When you and Eric first found Sookie she was a very young child. How difficult was it reconciling your feelings for her at that time?”
He sighs and rubs his face. “That one is multi-layered. I didn’t understand the pull I felt, knowing as I did that I had already met my Soul Mate. But I felt the pull, not only to have her as my Child, but as my Mate. But I also knew that she was Eric’s Mate, and I never wanted to interfere in his life. Once we found out she was my Soul Mate, the reborn version of her soul, it was not hard. She was a child. I loved her, and so did Eric. There was nothing at all carnal about it. But once she was old enough, it was hard when she and Eric first were together. But soon, soon I realized she had been waiting for us, and then I had no problem being with her. I hope that answers her question?”
Wendy is reading it over and nods. “I think she will be happy about it.”
She sighs. “I will not chicken out and skip our last question. So, I will out the deciding vote and ask our WordPress Whisperer Robin’s question: If you were going to have to live on a deserted island for the rest of your life, what six items would you bring? And, no copouts like lifetime supply of something or your Mates. We know they are going to be there.”
He laughs. “And you picked this one?”
She sighs, “Yeah. I am trying to be fair. So?”
He shakes his head. “Six items, not counting my Mates, and no lifetime supplies.” He lifts an eyebrow to Wendy, “Does she know that Eric and I can fly, so we could take Sookie out of there?”
Wendy drops her head on the iPad. “I know, and the girls brought it up. But answer her question please….”
He laughs. “I would want there to be a place of shelter for Sookie, and as long as we can keep her healthy, I would need nothing else. I would be in a private place with my Mates, and what do you think we will be doing? I wouldn’t be playing pinochle!”
She sighs, rolling her eyes. “You have 4 more items.”
He laughs, “You are being serious about this?”
She nods, commenting, “If I have to ask it, you have to answer it. There is no cop out.”
He sighs, then thinks about it. “Change of clothing for all of us. Other than that, there is really nothing. You don’t realize it, but as long as my Mates are there, I can do nothing but be with them and be happy. I would need to give the other choices to them. If it weren’t for us being able to fly out, then I would want a satellite phone that has a perfect connection, a boat to get us off out of there, and blood. But since we are daywalkers now, there is not much we would need since we feed on our Mate only. I’m sorry but I cannot answer more.”
She sighs, then notes his answer. However, before she can thank him for his time and patience, Robin bursts into the room. “Since you can’t answer my question in full, you need to answer the girls that tied with me.”
Godric raises his eyebrow at the woman in front of him, but she stands her ground to him. After a standoff of a few moments, he sighs. “Then ask.”
Wendy nods while glaring at Robin. “Allie Tiger Lydy asked: What was the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever done in your 2000+ years as a vampire?”
He cannot help the laugh that came out. “The most embarrassing thing? Had to be when I drank from someone high. It affects us, but only for an hour at the most, and the person had to be really high for it to work. I drank someone at Woodstock, and Eric has a picture of me singing with a wig on to a group of women. I was so high I told them I could take them to a higher place. I have not lived it down yet.”
Wendy and Robin stared at him, then started laughing. “A wig?”
He shakes his head, “Don’t ask. I have no idea where it came from. But yeah. Last one?”
Still laughing at the mental picture, Wendy tells him, “The last one is from Megan, our lady in charge of the Food Blog: If you could experience anything, what would it be and why?”
He shakes his head. “To be one with my Mates. Why? Because my whole body craves it. I can feel their need for it, and I wish to make us all happy in that way. To be fully Mated will be the best experience I could ever ask for, for our soul that had been ripped in three to be joined back into one.”
Wendy sighs, then looks at Robin, “That work for you?”
Robin nods, grins at Godric and runs out of the room telling them, “I am going to get to work on this! Thanks Godric!”
Wendy laughs at her energy. “I need to write this and the Food Blog up, and get them out to the ladies who are waiting. Thanks for your time, Godric. Give Eric and Sookie my greetings and let them know I will try to write more soon.”
He nods, then kisses her cheek and is out of the door.
Wendy sighs and rolls her neck. “Freaking Robin. I voted for hers, and she still managed to get two more questions in there. Now to send this off to the ladies.” With that she heads to the computer, Connor trotting by her side, eager for a chance at one of the pears sitting by his mommie’s desk.
Wendy settles back into her chair as her family plays golf around her. She is glad that this month’s interviewee was willing to come to her family’s home in Benson, AZ. She had called him in a state, telling him that she had somehow lost a week. She had really thought that she had a week until the 30th, and was shocked when everyone told her otherwise.
She had no other time until now to type it up; Thursday had been the day she had arrived in Benson, and then she had taken her Ambien without thinking about how she had to get up soon for Thanksgiving. She had ended up being in a haze all day, not registering anything. She had even forgotten to text Mama Kitty! Friday was spent shopping with the family…and finally being advised what day it was.
Then, earlier today, she had gone into her room with Connor, and it dawned on her that the site she uses has her old credit card number, and she went nuts. Her computer wouldn’t open because it was upgrading, and life was just not working. She called Killian and begged him to at least to allow her to interview him on the phone. He had laughed instead and told her he would come there.
So she watches Planes for the second time with her nephew Fox with all the dogs happily stilling milling around. She laughs as she sees the family tease each other about their scores in Golf, then the dogs go crazy as she hears a knock at the door.
She gets up to answer the door and laughs to see Killian as he stands there in a black coat very reminiscent of his pirate one. He grins at her, and leans down to kiss her hand, “Milady, it is a pleasure to be here.”
The family looks over her shoulder at the tall man with the Irish accent. They then look at Wendy, and she shrugs. “Family, meet Killian Jones. Killian, meet The Family.”
He bows to them all, a sweeping bow you would expect from the flamboyant pirate, and winks at Wendy as she laughs at his antics.
She chuckles as she leads him into the family room, away from the rest of the family who stare at him as they pass. She offers him a slice of pie, knowing that they had all been overeager bakers and that making five pies for six people and a child maybe have been going overboard a bit.
He shakes his head, and soon takes a seat close to her. He grabs her hand and asks softly, “You are doing better?”
She nods. “It’s been a month for the record books. I don’t think I like Novembers anymore. Last year, Pooh Bear and Granddad died, this year my mom had cancer and my biological dad died. This is a much needed getaway for me. But enough with me, you came a long way to do this interview.”
He just shakes his head at her, “One of these days, my dear one, we will have a long talk. But, for now, we will do as you asked.” He leans back in the chair and waves his bejeweled hand to her. “Ask the questions your lovely ladies have prepared for me.”
She laughs as she settles back herself. She pulls out the trusty iPad, opens it to the site, and is once again thrilled at the sight of the new backgrounds and the snow and, mostly, at the fact she owns the domain now. “The first set of questions are the same for everyone. But then there are five questions for you to answer from the ladies themselves.”
He nods and regally waves his hand for her to start, crossing his leg over his other one as he awaits the questions they have for him.
Shaking her head at him she asks, “Full Name, please.”
He chuckles. “Which one?”
She raises an eyebrow then responds, “Real one.”
Grinning at her, he answers, “Killian Peter Jones at your service.”
She lifts an eyebrow up at him. “Peter?”
He snorts. “Where do you think the name came from? I may have not used Killian, but I remembered Peter when I first arrived. Killian Jones to me was an unloved person, who was unwanted and everything else. Peter is my name, but it was also not one that they used. So… Peter Pan.”
She giggles. “And the next question is, what are your nicknames?”
He smiles, “Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Dread Pirate Roberts…” He thinks, “I think that’s all of them for now. So far, I haven’t really received anymore.”
She laughs as he lifts an eyebrow at her. “Job?”
He snorts then covers his mouth at the sound. “Pirate? Leader of the Lost Boys? Leader of Neverland? The Love of Emma Swan’s life? All of them are true, all of them are meaningless except for being Emma’s Love.”
He smiles. ”Even though she is not very giving of it. Yet.”
She reads the next question of the list, thinking that she should memorize these sooner or later. “I ask the next few all at one time: Date of Birth, Height, Hair Color, Eye Color, and Build.”
His head rears back and then shakes back and forth. “Nosy, aren’t they?”
She chuckles, “You are not the first or even the second to comment on that. But Robin makes the character sheets and she uses these to fill out the information. So answer away, Killian.”
Still shaking his head, He answers her, “Unknown, 5’ 11”, Black, Blue, and I have no farkin clue.”
She laughs. “Unknown date of birth?”
He nods his head, “Since Neverland never had births nor did the time pass, it is hard to determine when I was born. And before you ask, I have no idea what my build is either.”
Wendy grins evilly. “Swashbuckler.”
He cannot help but laugh. “Swashbuckler?”
She nods, “It fits you, and it allows the ladies to place you. You are not overly muscular, but you are not fat, either. You are lean, and your body is fit as only a swashbuckling pirate’s could be.”
He raises an eyebrow, shrugs, and tells her, “As you wish, my dear.”
She shakes her head, then asks, “Significant other?”
He grins back at her, “Emma Swan.”
“Parents,” she continues.
He looks at her. “None, or according to some people it was Neverland and the Second Star to the right. Whichever you wish to believe.”
She had to think about that one, but then remembered the prophecy and his beginnings as she asks, “Children?”
He cocks his head to the side as he asks, “Henry. And the Lost Boys if you wish to think of them that way.”
She just looks at him. “Interesting. You are claiming Henry already?”
He answers with no cockiness to his voice, “Of course he is mine, that part is not an issue. But getting Emma to agree and understand, well, that is not the question is it?”
She nods as she reads the next one, and asks, sincerely curious about his answer, “Who do you consider to be your best friend?”
He then rests his chin on his hand as he ponders the question. “I have to say Tinkerbell and Wesley. Emma is going to be a hopeful, since you should always be your partner’s best friend, but we are not there yet.”
Looking to the next question, she asks him, “Enemies?”
He ponders on this too, “The crocodile of course, then there are the enemies of my Emma. Right now, we are fighting against all sorts of people to be together, so ‘enemies’ is too wide of a description for us. Let’s just stick to those.”
She reads the next two in succession, noticing that everyone is waiting on them, “Tattoos or scars?”
He sighs. “I have a tattoo of my first lady love, Milah. As for scars, I have many on my body due to the harder life I have led, as well as the scar from my hand being taken by the crocodile.” But he exchanges a look with Wendy and the two of them chuckle at their mutual secret.
Wendy settles herself down from her laughter and pets Connor who had decided to come see why Mommy is laughing so hard. She looks to the next set of questions, and asks, “What is your favorite pastime?”
He smiles. “Sailing the seas in the Jolly Roger,” he replies immediately. “The feeling of the wind as it rushes past you and the sound of the sail snapping in the wind is like no other. But currently, my favorite pastime is appearing in my Emma’s dreams to try to convince her that I am for real. It is actually amusing to talk with her, to hear her views on the world and what is possible.” He cannot help the chuckle nor the twinkle in his eyes as he speaks of these things.
Wendy just jots it down, with a twist of her own lips. “Mode of transportation?”
He laughs, “I think I already answered that one, my dear.”
She laughs as she reads the next one. “Weapon of choice?”
He cannot help the laugh. “Actually I love my sword, since guns are not always reliable in Neverland, nor in the other lands. And I have learned to use my hook as a weapon too. So it is currently even between the two.”
She chuckles at the next one, “Pets?”
He snorts. “Like a pirate can have a pet other than the usual ones of a parrot or a monkey. Either are messy, and I run a tidy ship.”
“Best Childhood Memory,” she continues.
He starts laughing at her. “I had way too many years as a child, love. I cannot really say that there is one. Some would be my favorite depending on the stage of life I was in, or even the maturity level I had. So I really can’t answer that one.”
She tries again. “Favorite Teen Memory, or even Best Adult memory?”
He shakes his head. “I spent 286 years between being born and turning 20. There was so much living in there that again, it would be hard to pick a memory. But Best Adult Memory? That has to be when I met Emma in our dreams. Knowing that she is here, that she is perfect and I am able to see her, I have no doubt that the time I see Henry will be the next one, or maybe when we marry….” He looks off, lost in his thoughts.
Wendy thinks about it then shrugs. He is right, of course. Favorite memories are hard enough to decide with the normal number of years, but if you think about how long Killian has been alive, then it would be impossible especially given that he had been frozen at certain ages.
Moving on, she asks, “Favorite Scent?”
He answers immediately, and even leans forward some, “Emma’s.”
She then smiles at the next one. It has been very telling on the previous two interviewees’ answers. “What is you favorite movie?”
Killian just stares at her blankly. “Movie? What is a movie?”
It was Wendy’s turn to blink, then she starts laughing. “This is freaking rich!! I bet Karen and Robin didn’t even think of that!!! “
He is still staring at her waiting for an answer, and she finally answers him, “When we are done, I will show you Ice Age. Which is a movie. Fox is watching it right now, and we will be happy to show you what a movie is. We have so many here that you can spend the next week here and not see them all. And at my house? Yeah. We will set you up on that one.”
He just shakes his head confused. “Can’t you just tell me something about them?”
Wendy thinks and then grins. “They were first made to show that when a horse runs, all four feet can be off the ground at one time. And that is all you are getting, mister. We will talk afterwards. I just can’t wait for those two to read this!” She is positively giddy at the thought, and that alone is a miracle with her last week and a half.
She reads the next question, “If you could vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go?”
He thinks about that one. “I think I would like to visit this world more, where Emma is. Also I would like to visit where she grew up. It would help me understand her better. I will be taking her to my own memorable places, but then, she will be at most one way or the other. But I just don’t know if we will have the time to let me know about her past in the way I wish to.” His answer is thoughtful, and you can tell he put a lot of thought in it.
Wendy nods her head, and she asks the next two questions, “How do you spend your days? Nights?”
He smiles, “Days, well that one is hard. It all depends on the timing of my life then. But now? I am working on getting with my Emma. The nights? They are now spent in joint dreams with her, trying to get to know each other, to be able to tell each other what is going on. Currently life is too busy to really answer that one with as much detail as your ladies would like without going into our story too much.”
Sharing a look with Killian, Wendy looks back and tells him, “Last one for the normal questions.”
Killian cannot help his laugh. “Normal questions?”
She nods as she gets ready for it, “I’ll explain after this one. What is your Life’s Aspiration?”
He answers quickly and without hesitation. “To be with Emma and Henry. To protect them from the pain they have each experienced. To love them. To simply hold them when they are falling asleep, knowing they are safe and loved.”
Wendy sighs. “Aren’t you the romantic one?”
Killian just grins at her. “Now for these not normal questions?”
Sighing, she moves to the Facebook group’s site to see what they had asked. “The ladies, after voting what story AND which character they want interviewed from the story, are then asked in a new set of comments which questions they would like to ask that character, and then they vote on the questions listed. The top five questions with the most ‘likes’ get picked. This month, with everything going on, Sharon and the rest of my ladies took care of the voting and getting the interview questions organized for me. So this will be new to me. We had six questions, and the top five are being asked.”
He nods his head. “Interesting. And any of the ladies in your Facebook group can ask the questions?”
“Yes, and as long as they get voted into the top five, they will be asked. I break any ties in either voting or the questions section. I try to encourage my ladies to participate in the group, but it looks as though when I’m gone, there isn’t as much going on. Ah well, they are there to see what I am like in real life I guess.”
Killian just shakes his head, and pets Connor who comes to visit again. “Ask away.”
Wendy nods, “The first one is from Rissa the Great: Given everything that you’ve seen and done, if you could change anything, what would it be and why?”
He raises his brows. “They certainly don’t pull any punches do they?”
She shakes her head no, and waits for him to answer.
He leans forward to rest his elbows on his legs as he thinks. “There is much I would like to change, but would I? No. Everything happened the way it did. I learned what love is, and I know what hatred is as one only can when one has a loved one murdered in front of them. I learned how to lead people as Peter Pan, as Dread Pirate Roberts, and finally as Hook. Every part of my past has shaped me to what I am today, and that person is able to offer Emma so much more than one with only a part of my past could have done.”
Wendy notes his response, smiling as she understands what he means. “The next one is from Leigh Warner: What is the one thing you regret doing the most and what is the one thing you treasure most in your life?” She looks up from reading the question and wonders how he will answer this one.
Killian just shakes his head. “These ladies are really good at this, are they not? But to answer the question, the one thing I regret doing? I regret how so many things have happened, but mostly I regret the way I handled Rumple. I could have been more adult about it, but then, I truly believe a man unwilling to fight for what he wants… deserves what he gets. But for the other half of the question? The one thing I treasure most is meeting my Emma. Knowing I am meeting the other half of my soul, is a truly unique experience.”
Noting his answers, she also notes how much more eloquent he is with these questions. She tells him, “The next two are from our very own Sharon. The first one is: How difficult do you think it will be finally meeting Emma face to face yet not being able to act on your feelings for her yet?”
He laughs. “I have met her face to face in our dreams already, and there were no issues!! But if she means when we physically meet? It will be pure torture. I am sure my Emma will still be doubting our love and everything to do with it. Being that close and not being able to reassure her that she is my everything, it will be truly painful.”
Still chuckling over the beginning of his answer, she just shakes her head. “Thanks for answering it! But the second one is: If you were forced to live in the town where Emma currently resides for any length of time, what do you think you would do since Piracy isn’t exactly an occupation there?”
He just can’t help himself from laughing. “Our Sharon!! But…hmm. What could I do? Anything I set my mind out to do. I haven’t existed for over 600 years without knowing how to shift with the times in my own way. I’m not saying I can find myself a job immediately, but once I am used to this world, I think I can handle supporting my Emma, Henry and I quite easily.”
Wendy quirks an eyebrow at the pirate, “You know she may not accept that one.”
He shrugs. “It is the truth.”
She notes the answer, then reads the next one. Laughingly she tells Killian, “I am going to be heavily editing this one. Robin, our very own WordPress Whisperer who is thinking Christmas already came with the gifts I told her about already, asks: What would you say about this story to get us addicts to drop everything and go read it?”
He stares at her then starts laughing. “If they are addicts of yours, they should have read it already!!! But, what is there not to love? There are pirates, true love, a crocodile, and a prophecy. What else can you wish for in a story?”
With that Wendy cracks up laughing. He grins, enjoying her laughter as well.
She types up her notes, and then turns to him. “Now let’s get you over to Fox. He can explain what is going on in the movie pretty well, and you can experience the magic of movies for yourself. Maybe in the future we will be able to come back to this question.”
He laughs and then, standing up, offers her his hand to help her rise. After she stands he kisses her hand, then bows to her. “Lead on, my lady. I look forward to learning about this movie thing.”
And with that the two of them leave the room as Connor trails behind them wagging his tail.
Sitting in her leather chair, Wendy nervously smooths down her slacks. Connor comes up with his bone, and she smiles at him. “Such a good boy. Now lie down so Mommy can work on this, ok?”
She chuckles to herself as he plops down at her feet and uses her leg to steady his super large bone. She picks up her iPad that she plans to make notes on; it also holds all the questions for this interview.
This is something her Queen of the Betas and her WordPress Whisperer came up with, and she has been excited about it. She had put a poll up on the group page in Facebook, and it had come down to In The End and Niall. This was not what she had expected, really. She had thought that Eric or Godric would have been the ones chosen to be interviewed. But nope, her group had picked Niall.
So she asked him to come for this interview, and he had cheekily replied, “Of course, Sweetums!”
She had even reread her fiction to see where they were, because she has no doubts that Niall would try to slide by with answers that would give away huge plot points.
Looking at the iPad, she wonders how the Fae Prince would appear.
And with that, she jumps as he appears in the armchair next to her, dressed in his normal all black attire. He grins cockily to her. “Hello, my dear Wendy.”
She smiles nervously. Connor had jumped up and barked, but as he talks to her, he holds his hand out to Connor.
Connor sniffs, and, once he realizes he is friendly, is soon walking in circles under Niall’s hand, petting himself.
Niall laughs at the dog. He looks up at the author who had requested this meeting. He had been having fun in her story, and he has the feeling that she will not fail to amuse him this time either.
Wendy swallows. Then she gets herself together. “Hello, Niall. Thanks for joining me.”
He grins. This is the woman he has become fond of as she crafts their story. “No problem. I am honored to be the first one you are going to interview for your site.”
She grins. “I figured you would be happy about that. So, I gotta ask before we get to the questions, are you going to play fair or am I going to have to edit this thing like crazy before I give it to Rissa?”
He laughs. “If you promise to ask me the questions that give away too much plot later, I will play fair… Just don’t forget to ask me. You don’t want me to send some brownies to you, do you?”
She bites her lower lip as she thinks. “Will they clean better than the elves you sent? They seem to miss my desk all the time.”
He laughs. “And that is why I love working with you. Nothing makes you back down. But I will have a word with the elves to do a better job. Can’t have my favorite writer having to clean her desk when she should be writing.”
Wendy grins. “Niall, I am the one who dreamed you into being. And if you aren’t nice, I won’t give you all that I planned to.” She raises an eyebrow.
He grins back to her and raises an eyebrow, “Did you dream us into being, or did we give you the dreams?”
She blushes as she clears her throat and ignores her dog who is being petted under his hands. “We have a few questions to go through. Then the group thought up some questions and voted for what they liked.”
He shakes his head, “Not as much participation as I thought there WOULD be. But I will make this good on my side.”
Wendy shakes her head as she opens her iPad. Looking up at him, she raises an eyebrow as she asks, “You ready?”
He leans back in his chair, the perfect vision of laid back masculinity, and tells her, “Fire away!”
She can’t help the snort. She tells him, “You know, while I am publishing the entire interview, only your answers will be in your bio. But I think Robin may link to this so people can see how you are in person.”
Niall smirks. “Are there going to be some of those fun pictures you have of me?”
Blushing, Wendy tells him, “Nope. Those are mine. Now, get it together, we have quite a few questions to go through. Karen and Robin have put together quite the list.”
He nods, still smirking at her.
She asks him, “What is your full name?”
He laughs. “Right now, Niall. But that is subject to change in the future. But it is the one I am using right now.”
She lifts an eyebrow, “No family name?”
He shakes his head. “I use Brigant sometimes, but that is not my real last name. I simply don’t have one. But in this world nowadays, they get upset if you don’t have a middle name, much less a last name. So I make up one to satisfy the curiosity of mortals.”
She notes his answer, her fingers dancing across the iPad. “Ok, what are your nicknames?”
He lifts an eyebrow. “This is one of those questions I think you are going to edit.”
She laughs. “Probably. But answer and later we will put in the right answer.”
Sighing, he hooks his hands around the knee he has crossed, “Xxxx, Xxxx, Xxxx, Xxxxxx, Xx… Do I need to continue?”
She shakes her head. “Nope. We get the idea, and that one will be edited. I have to check with Rissa on it.”
She goes to the next one, then rolls her eyes. “This will be unanswerable for awhile.”
He lifts an eyebrow.
She tells him, “Job.”
He chuckles. “I can give the vanilla answer and we can revisit if need be. I am the Ruler of the Fae.”
They share a glance, then they both chuckle. Wendy nods her head. “That’ll work, Donkey. That’ll work.”
Niall groans. “We have to listen to this stuff in your head – are you going to say it out loud too?”
Wendy laughs. “Sorry. Blame Marty for that one.” She is blushing like crazy. She never meant to say that out loud, but hey, she is used to these people in her head.
Niall sighs, then rubs his face. “I guess it can’t be helped. You do think this way, so we are used to it. But, hey, you are getting more relaxed!”
Wendy laughs. “Yep. Now, we need to get back to this. A lot of people are waiting for this to be given to them to read.” She looks down at her iPad and then laughs. “They want to know you Date of Birth.”
Niall just shakes his head. “I will just refuse to answer that one. It will give way too much away. Maybe later?”
Wendy smirks. “If that is the answer you want to give.”
He gives her a look, but she is already noting his response. Then she asks, “What is your height?”
He frowns as he shakes his head. “Is this an interview or an application?”
Wendy holds her hands up, “Hey, I am just the one asking the questions. I had nothing to do with creating them.”
He shakes his head as he closes his eyes. He sighs and answers, “5’10”.”
Wendy notes it, then smothers a laugh.
Niall looks at her with the eyebrow raised. “What?
She looks at him, “Just remember I didn’t make this up. I am only asking the questions.”
Closing his eyes, he shakes his head again. “And why can’t you just answer them if they’re ones you know I will comment on.”
She grins at him evilly, “Cause that is what the fun is. Your sarcastic comments!”
He drops his head back. Staring up at the ceiling, “The things I do for you, woman!” He sighs then lifts his head enough to look at her and tells her, “Just ask them. I can’t wait until we get to the interesting ones.”
“Hey! These are interesting to the readers! They want to make sure you are in their dreams with the right proportions!” Then she blushes as she realizes what she said.
He just laughs. “Gods, I love your brain! Fire away, Wendy.”
She grins, “Here are the ones you can answer quickly. They want to know: hair color, eye color, and build.”
He frowns. “What are they…never mind. I don’t want to know what Karen or Robin need this for. Hair color is black, eye color, well blue, but you call it ice blue, don’t you? Use whichever you want to use. And build? Umm…good?”
Wendy laughs. “I think they want muscular, skinny, lithe, runners, swimmers. Use your imagination, Niall!”
Groaning, “This is not what I thought I would be answering. But I am not warning the rest of them about it. They can find out the same way I did. But, handsome, lithe, and muscular. But not overly.”
Wendy can’t resist the biting of her lip as her eyes sweep him and then notes the comments on her iPad.
He just chuckles at her. “Don’t worry, Wendy, I know what you’re thinking. I do have the luxury of living in your brain.”
She just sighs. She can’t deny it. “And you know why, too. So let’s go on. Significant other?”
His eyes darken. “Yes.”
She lifts an eyebrow, “Yes?”
He nods. “I’ll answer that one later.” And the look he gives her has her nodding and moving on quickly.
“Parents?”
He smirks, “Not applicable.”
She looks up. “Not applicable?”
Niall’s smirk grows. “Not applicable. You didn’t give me any. So…not applicable.”
She grumbles, “We will put that one off. Children?”
He smiles softer now. “One.”
She sighs, “This is not helping Niall. One? What type of answer is that?”
He laughs. “It is one where I’m not giving too much away. Remember your request of me?”
Wendy bites her tongue and goes, “Ohhhh yeah. Forgot about that.”
He just laughs at her. “I didn’t. Now what’s next?”
“Best friend?”
“Hades.”
She looks up. “Hades is your best friend?”
He nods. “He knows everything about me, and I him. He has been by my side throughout it all, and we talk to each other. Is that not Best Friends?”
She quirks her head to side considering it, then nods. “Yep. That works. Enemies?”
He growls out, “Mab at one point. Now there are others, but again, we don’t want to ruin the story, now do we?”
Putting the tablet down, Wendy glares at him, “You can answer that one in more detail. Yes, you can’t give it all away, but the readers have been exposed to some of them.”
He laughs. “I love your fiery attitude. Reminds me of someone. Very well, there is the bitch queen with her incompetent followers. And there is that idiotic self-proclaimed King of the Desert and his idiots. And then there is that fucked up church, too. Is that enough?”
She is laughing at him. “Yep, that will be enough.”
She can’t help but laugh even harder at the following questions. “Tattoos or scars?”
He shakes his head. “None.”
She is sniggering. “None?”
He shakes his head refusing to rise to her bait.
She then looks over the list, “The rest are interesting for you. The next one is favorite pastime.”
He grins. “Running as my other half.”
She lifts an eyebrow to him. “I know what you mean, but you need to explain it for the readers.”
He grins. “My other half is a wolf. I love transforming into him and going for a run in the woods. The freedom as a wolf is liberating.”
She nods. “That is what they are wanting. What is your mode of transportation?”
Niall laughs as he relaxes into the chair more. “Either I pop where I need to go or, very rarely, I go as my wolf.”
She nods as makes notes. “Weapon of choice?”
He raises an eyebrow. “Weapon of choice? My wits. But if they want an actual weapon, it would be a sword. But I rather rely on myself and beat people before it gets physical. It is much more enjoyable to outsmart my opponents. Even better when they don’t realize I have done it and the game is over for them, and they have no clue at all.”
Wendy’s grin gets bigger, and not wanting to stop the rhythm she asks the next one, “Pets?”
He chuckles. “None. Not enough time for one.”
She looks down at him petting Connor, and the absolute bliss on her puppy’s face as he scratches that spot under his ears. “Too bad. From the look on Connor’s face, you would be great.”
He chuckles as he leans forward to rub Connor’s head, “That’s because he is an awesome dog. And from what I hear, he has been made the Mascot of the Site, and is even part of your original fiction.”
She laughs. “The girls love him. He has grown up with tons of pictures on Facebook. Spoiled rotten he is.”
Niall laughs as he leans back, still petting the puppy. “Nothing wrong with that. And it ain’t like you don’t spoil him.”
She laughs as she looks back for the next one, “Best childhood memory?”
His eyes darken slightly. “Not applicable.”
She raises an eyebrow, and he gives her a look. She winces. “Yeah, that’s right. So no teen memory either. How about best adult memory?”
His eyes soften. “It’s a toss up, but I will say I lean more towards the birth of my child. Best thing in my life. Right up there with mating with my Significant Other. But the birth of my child is a happier memory all in all.”
She smiles at him, touched by his emotions in his eyes, shoot, in his whole being. She lets him remember that time as she looks over the rest. “Six more before we get to the ones they asked and voted on for you.”
He nods, “Go ahead.”
Wendy smiles, “Favorite scent?”
He laughs. “Favorite Scent? I need to ask these girls what they were thinking. I guess a crisp winter morning with a fresh snowfall as I run in my other form through the woods on a mountain. Or the scent of my mate, and the scent of my child. All of these are favorites.”
She laughs, when she looks at the next one, “Favorite movie?”
He grins. “I actually love the Usual Suspects. It’s an awesome movie, and a great one of how to use your brain to get out of trouble. No need for violence, though it is in the movie, but… well, you need to watch it.”
She laughs. “I have, and you know my brother loves it.”
He nods. “It is a great movie. Eric loves it, too.” Then he straightens, “But it is not his favorite.” He cheekily grins at Wendy. “Don’t want your fans to think they know something ahead of time.”
She laughs. “Whatever you say. The next question is if you could vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go?”
He leans back, thinking. He clarifies, “In this world?”
She nods, “I think that was the intent of the question.”
Niall nods, and after a few minutes of thinking he tells her, “An empty beach, anywhere. I would like to just sit there, with no one but maybe my family, just be able to exist without planning for the future while maintaining all the things I have going on. Just sit there and listen to the world as it turns.”
She nods, thinking of his answer. “It would be awesome.”
He laughs. “Wendy, you would go nuts.” Then he pauses, “Maybe not.”
While he muses on that, she looks down, “The next question is about how you spend your days?”
He chuckles, “Protecting what is mine.”
She lifts an eyebrow, “And the nights?”
He grins, “No rest for the weary, my dear. I spend a lot of my time protecting what is mine. The rest I visit when I can family and friends. I also play some tricks on others.”
She cannot help the laugh. “You? Tricks on others?”
He grins mischievously at her.
She shakes her head, and asks him, “The last one for the official questionnaire. What is your life aspiration?”
His eyes fade out as he answers, “To have my family be safe. I would do anything and often have to make this possible.”
She watches him, then gives him a moment as she puts the last answer in her notes. Looking over them, she makes sure she has all she needs to write this up. Then she looks up at him and grins. “Are you ready?”
He lifts an eyebrow. “The questions from the group I take it?”
She nods. “Yep, these are the ones they asked and were voted to be asked. I told them no more than five, but it could be less. You get all five.”
He grins, “Of course I did.”
She shakes her head at him. “The first one is from is from Robin Shaw, our WordPress Whisperer. ‘If you could change any event in history, which one and why?”
He shakes his head, an impressed look to his face. “That is a really good question. There have been times I have wished to interfere in history, but it often doesn’t work well for those who do. But, if there had been something that didn’t affect history when I changed it, I would change when Godric lost his wife. That day will be seared into my memory for the rest of my very long life. The pure misery would have shaken anyone. The only other day I would change, well I can’t tell you about it. But I know that to change that day would have changed the future, and not in a good way. Things had to happen that way for the end results. And the day I wish to change in addition, well I suspect that there was a reason for that day, too.” The shadows in his eyes show the pain that those days had caused him, and the weight of knowing that preventing those changes would have been a greater tragedy shows on him.
Wendy nods, trying not to shed a tear, since she knows which two days he is talking about. She types in the answer. Then she had to ask, “Why not the Holocaust or something like that?”
He looks over, “Because they happened. And to change them, would have changed fate so drastically that the world would be in the position it is now. That right now, would be disastrous. It’s not something I am proud of, but I will live with the pain of those millions of people lost for the greed of a few. Hopefully, the prophecy does play out to the best ending, and those lives would be there as a lesson. We will see.”
She slowly shakes her head. “That makes sense. Okay, here is Karen’s question, well, actually, she has two. Tthe first is, “Can she have your babies?”, and her actual question is, “What was your favorite era in history?”
He laughs. “Karen, Karen, Karen. She knows the answer to the first. I think you ladies have certain people claimed already? I cannot be unfaithful to my wife. Silly woman.” He leans back winking at Wendy.
Wendy grins evilly, “Good answer. But for the real one?”
He laughs as he reaches down to throw the ball Connor just brought him, “My favorite era? Has to be now. This is the closest I have come to having everything. So…right now. Or actually, in the era that is coming. That will be the best. But I cannot say more than that.”
Wendy laughs. “I love it!!! Best answer.”
He grins conspiratorially with her. “Next?”
She is still grinning as she asks, “The next one is from Megan Amster. ‘If you could travel into the future what would you do?’
He looks impressed again. “These ladies have good questions! But if I could travel to the future, well, I wouldn’t. I am looking forward to it, but unless I am here to guide my part, it won’t be the future I want. But if all that were to happen, I would still be here. The future is my reward. And I am not one to eat my dessert before dinner. Or in this case, make dinner after eating the dessert.”
She can’t help but laugh at his analogy, but she knows what he is referencing to. “HEA?”
He grins. “Yep, and that is why we camp out inside of your brain.”
Wendy laughs. “That and you guys have some kind of link to Karen. I swear she has a link to my muse.”
He just laughs. “Next? We need to finish this.”
She gives him the look, “You’re the one commenting all over the place. The next one comes from Marie Chrissy, ‘What’s the one thing that you regret doing in life?”
His eyes darken intensely. “Not keeping a better eye on my family.”
And the tone of voice tells her that he is not going to say anymore. She quickly jots down his reply and then she tells him, “Last one is from Rissa. She wants to know how old are you really?”
He just starts laughing. “Didn’t I already answer this?”
She shrugs. “It had the votes to be on here. So answer.”
He grins evilly. “Nope. And she of all people knows why! Just wait until she reads this. I am going to pop over and give her a talking to about how rude it is asking someone’s age. And twice! Actually, I think I will visit Karen and Robin on this also. Some of these questions…!”
Wendy lifts an eyebrow. “Niall….”
He just looks at her innocently. “I know the rules, and so do they. But they need a talking to. Why all the details?”
Sighing as she puts the iPad to the side, then tosses one of the toys laid out around her. “They are doing character profiles, and this will give details that are needed in them. It wasn’t that painful was it?”
He leans forward to catch her eyes, “Nope. And tell the ladies that I thank them for voting for me first. Now I think you need to turn this in?”
She nods, captured as always by his eyes.
Niall grins. “Then I will leave you to it. I’ll be back. Later. And don’t forget to feed Connor.” With that, he kisses her cheek and disappears.
She laughs as she stands up, laughing at Connor and his disappointed face. “He’ll be back soon.”
And with that, she heads off to email the interview to Karen and Rissa.
It truly is amazing the stuff you can find on the internet. I searched Alexander Skarsgard leprechaun and the picture above is what popped up. I think it is fitting for today.
