Only Naturals can make the City States survive the Wilds, and they often make the difference between life and death for the City States. Vampires are the ones who connect the City States, who can save them from the Wilds and the creatures in it. But like the Naturals, the Vampires are rare, and the word has decided that it is time to harvest all the known Naturals, since a secret has been found out about them.
